"Hey, sis," Charlie said cheerfully when he opened the door to find a laden Ginny, stepping back to let her through.
"Pickle, give it up!" he called to one of the dogs. "In!" he added. He just barely remembered not to yell down his sister's ear. The dog came barrelling through the open door a few seconds later, managing to expertly weave his way through all the present legs, only catching Charlie's prosthetic with a rapidly wagging tail that made a dull thudding sound.
"And yeah, somehow you're first. Guess that comes from me not being super specific with the times," he said. "Perce would probably be here if he didn't have to do Muggle travel."
"How're things?" he asked. The problem of being up at Hogwarts was he felt like he was perpetually playing catch up on family goings on, and he knew better than to trust any gossip he saw in papers to be entirely accurate.
