Frowning, Mia shook her head slightly. "I don't think you should feel mortified at all. I understand the reflex, but... nothing to be embarrassed about." Even though it wasn't her thing, she didn't judge anyone who was into it, and she certainly didn't think there was anything wrong with confiding such things with someone you were considering becoming intimate with.
The emotions seemed to play out on Trina's face, and Mia felt a pang deep in her chest. She wanted to reach out and comfort the other woman, which was absurd considering she'd just essentially broken up with her! But knowing in her heart of hearts that her connection with Rhys was stronger and the one she wanted to pursue didn't make the feelings that had been growing for Trina just disappear.
"I understand," she whispered. She was surprised that the offer of ice cream was still on the table, literally and figuratively, and her brow furrowed. "I can go if it's too much too soon," she offered. The last thing she wanted to do was make Trina uncomfortable, much less in her own home!
