"People like all sorts of things that I don't. Like wearing trousers, losing control, or all sorts of sports. I'm just glad I'm happy with my choices." She laughed, knowing that she was pretty rare in not liking to wear trousers at all outside of the occasional set of silky PJs.
She lifted Mia's hand and kissed the back of it after it covered her own. "I've had time to come to terms, and however I have children they won't be any less mine just because I didn't give birth to them." She smiled and shuffled a bit closer to Mia to take comfort in her presence.
"Now how are you currently feeling about ice cream?" she asked. She'd picked up some a few days ago from Fortescue's hoping Mia might want to share.
