Her expression shifted, empathy mingling with pity, not at all surprised that it wasn't something Trina would seek out. "I don't think it would be my choice either, but it is interesting," she said, shrugging slightly. She was full of odd facts and observations, though.
"Oh, cariño," she murmured, lifting her hand to cover Trina's. Did that mean that Trina could see that sort of future with her, though? And could she see that future with Trina? It was so easy to imagine a future with Rhys, but now, looking at Trina talking about having children, both biological and adopted, she just couldn't visualize what that would look like.
