That comment somewhat floored Trina and she gaped for several seconds, her face a picture of confusion. "But why? I mean I don't think over the top customer service is necessary, but basic cordiality and manners should always be a thing." She knew she could be a bit old fashioned at times, but her basic belief that all people deserved overall care and compassion was being rather battered by this apparent model of business.
The way Mia's head chased after her hand gave her a flutter in her stomach and a sense that this type of care could something that tuned into her dominant side if she let it. For now it was simple care and connection and her breath turned deeper as she let herself drift just a little.
Hearing Mia talk about her niece with such enthusiasm lit a little fire in Katarina's heart. They had talked about some pretty intense topics since their first messages, but children hadn't been one of them. Mia seemed fairly in favour children so she didn't hold back. "I adore kids," she said. "I don't really have many in my life outside of the ones who come into the shop, but I'm always willing to be utterly distracted by them. I'd like to be a parent in the future if I'm with someone who wants that too." She tried not to hold her breath, but the sense of anticipation made her hold herself stiffly. Could she see that with Mia? She wasn't completely sure, but the idea was enticing at least. "How about you?"
