Sofía's expression was entirely smug as Bash swore and hurriedly undressed to meet her. Her gorgeous mentor had taught her well and she knew exactly what she liked; right now she wanted the raw power of this position. She groaned with him as Bash seated himself in her, her fingers gripping at the smooth surface of the counter. "Perfect," she breathed, thinking not for the first time that he was made for her.

They did, in fact, finally make it to the bedroom, cleaning the kitchen between languid kisses and still unable to take their hands off each other. After a bathroom break, Sofía rejoined Bash on the bed. Comfortable in her nudity, she took his hand, linking their fingers. Sofía brushed a kiss to his knuckles.

"This feels like a glimpse of the future," she said softly, a smile illuminating her face. "What it'll be like when I come home to you after an assignment."
