Sofía could feel the buzz of the the spells that Bash had thrown up like a protective cocoon around the kitchen but it was nothing compared to the magnetism of the man in front of her. Nothing in the world could have compelled her to take her hands off him. Her lips barely separated from Bash's as she hurriedly unbuttoned her blouse. She only broke the kiss to tug off her glasses which were haphazardly set down to skitter along the island.
Kissing Bash always felt… inevitable. If she was in the same room as him, it was only a matter of time before she had another taste of him. It gave her as much as a thrill now as it had when they had first met. As much as she had appreciated his gentle care during her recovery, this was exactly what she needed.
Her brown eyes were dark with desire and a glint of challenge. "Maybe I should spend more nights away if this the reception I get."
