Iris sipped her tea, contentedly listening to Eve's story. She could almost picture it, the darkness, the light spray of sea air, the intimacy of knowing that there was no one else for miles around.
"It sounds like something out of a romance novel," she sighed, setting down her teacup before taking a cupcake for herself. Iris loved romance novels, so it was a compliment. "I wish someone would whisk me away on an adventure."
