The days of being able to ride his bike around town were coming to an end far faster than he liked. He already had to wear the jacket with extra warming charms from Aunt Dora in order to stay warm on the bike. It was why he was out today, enjoying one of those last few days in the heated leather jacket he loved so much once the fall hit.
Lost in the meditative state he seemed to be able to find when riding, that state of mind that cleared all of the worries away. He had no problems, no sister that was pregnant by a married man, no friend in a serious relationship, no worries about the job he didn't have. He was just enjoying the ride.
Right until Rachel had walked out nearly in front of him. He had swerved, definitely missed her, but he was coming to a stop anyway. He wanted to be sure she was alright. "Rachel!" he called out, taking his helmet off, and setting it on the back of the bike. "Are you alright?" he asked, voice filled with concern as he made his way back over to her.
