Tweak says, "i smell a pig, i blame the cop"

The competition season would be wrapping up over the next month or so, and while Hailey was thrilled with how she'd been doing so far (she'd finally eked out first place and was determined to hold it!), she also couldn't wait for the more flexible schedule of the off season. And not just because she wanted more time with Rori to really feel out what there was between them.

At least her busy schedule had kept them from becoming that stereotypical lesbian couple that puts their relationship on the fast track, moving in together after only a short time. They'd taken things slow... emotionally, at least, though Hailey wasn't disappointed that they hadn't done so physically. But connecting with women physically had never been the problem for her. It was finding women who were open to connecting emotionally. And she thought that maybe she'd finally found one so could connect with on multiple levels. It was excited but also a bit nerve-wracking.

Normally after a weekend competition, Hailey would stay in the city an extra night, do a little exploring on the Monday before getting an early afternoon portkey back home. This weekend, though, she'd felt restless, as though staying an extra night in Varna wouldn't be worth it. No, she wanted to get home now, maybe even surprise said girlfriend. And so she did. She popped home first, noticing that Athena was out--she didn't think her cousin bestie had had work late tonight? But perhaps Athena was out having a bit of fun--before freshening up and then flooing over to the little cottage the Nott family had provided for Rori so she could be close to the animals.

"Rori?" she called out, not even sure if her girlfriend was home, especially since she hadn't warned her she would be coming back early.
