X-Men Genesis: OOC

Most information has been updated to reflect the following changes (including the relationships page, the taken page, the holds page, and so on).

♦ Carley has decided to pick up Mercury as her canon (mercurialcess). Look for an intro from Carley soon.
♦ Dan has dropped Cyclops and plans to pick up Quicksilver.
♦ Jordan has dropped Lorna and plans to change Mirage's played by to Jana Mashonee.
♦ I've decided to pick up Pulse, a rarely-seen canon. I changed him quite a bit, because he kinda sucked, but there was potential. His journal is pulses, his profile is here and his wanted scenes are here. Lemme know if you'd like to interact with him / be on his relationships section.

First and foremost - new character. I've decided to pick up Bishop (big_guns). He will totally have wanted scenes by the time you read this. Until then, his profile is 99.99% functional. There are gaps in his relationship section, as well as people listed there who might not be savvy with it, so let me know if you have any thoughts either way.

Secondly, Leigh has decided to drop Mystique. She's now an NPC and will be for-ev-ar. I've decided to drop Dazzler (in exchange for Bishop) and she is now up for grabs.

Foremost, we have some character/player changes.

Rob has created an OC counselor for everyone to vent to. The OOC addressing this character is here and his journal is mr_feelgood.

Leigh has a new OC as well, who communicates/shares abilities with animals. The OOC pertaining to Vivien/Pride is here and her journal is pride_.

Min is no longer with us, and I've chosen to pick up Emma. Husk is now free, however, and has been added to the holds page. My Emma is a bit different, but still very much canon (Min borrowed a great portion of my bio for her Emma, so there aren't too many differences). New Diamond journal is whitediamonds.

Rob, Leigh and I have all updated our wanted scenes to reflect our new additions.

Joan and I have been discussing the possibility of Siryn (age 5) coming into Sean's custody. She would have been the daughter of Black Tom, and gone to Sean after Tom's death. This transition would be played out in game, I assume. So, if anyone has any thoughts/ideas/comments, feel free. She's added to the 'taken' page and has icons under genesis_npcs. If anyone would like the password for that journal, I'll gladly IM or e-mail it to you.

The activity check / character summaries are nearly all up. So if you didn't do one, at least read over the monster. Lol. Here is that thread.

Finally, it's come to my attention that rapid-fire attacks/chaos would be a little trying on everyone, so I'd like to suggest that we have the 'second attack' occur after the Halloween party at the mansion. There's also the option of having the attack happen during the party and making everyone go fight sentinels in their costumes, but that's just mean. XD I think a larger time jump (ie; the end of October) would do us some good, as well. Lately time in the game and real time have been sneaking too close together, in my opinion. I don't want things to get confusing. But for the record, 'time' is addressed in the rules page if anyone is curious. If anyone would like to thread about the attack on the mansion (reactions, etc), please do so. I know there are a load of people with vendettas against Stryker at the mansion now, thanks to XMO: Wolverine. So that should be fun. Wolverine's not in his boat alone anymore. Lol.

For specifics about the Halloween party, Leigh and I have been discussing the when and the how, etc a bit, but feedback / fresh ideas are always welcome. Here's some of what we have so far...

Being that there are children at the school, and that we'd probably want our folks to be able to drink/have fun as they'd like, there should probably be a separation. My thoughts were that the X-Men (of age) could have their party in the gigantic gym downstairs (the one with the speaker system and the pool, etc). They could set up tables and couches and a bar and rock out, that way anyone under 18 could be kept out. As for the younger students or people who didn't want to attend, I think making the grounds 'haunted' would be cool. Then the younger students would have something to do and the teenagers could scare the bejesus out of them.

My other thought was that it could be warm out (50-70 degrees - hey, they do have Storm) and they could do a Playboy Mansion style party outside, with gigantic tents and seating and pillows and tables of food and drink, etc. Example. And the kidlings would be indoors at a "rated G" party.

Either way, doing a "haunted labyrinth" needs to go down, simply because they already have a hedge maze. XD

Because Leigh and I have no lives (well, we don't), we've picked out a number of our characters' costumes. Feel free to comment and stake your claim on ideas for your own pups. And don't worry about doubles (especially with stuff like vampires, pirates, cowboys, etc). It's bound to happen.

EDIT! Just letting everyone know that I'm bringing in a new character. His journal is mr_feelgood and here is his profile. Russell is an empath and the school's (licensed) counselor. I think Emma is a licensed sex/couples therapist and Dani is getting her degree in dream analysis/translation. But he's a standard psychiatrist. He's an all around good guy, so if anyone has any issues, the doctor is in. 5¢. END EDIT

Well hi there everybody!

I am Kait, come to bring you the ever-lovable, ever-smiling Bobby Drake, at least for the moment. I'm sure that everybody knows him as the happy-go-lucky, joking prankster that he is, a softy with a big heart that wears his emotions on his sleeves. Bobby is as transparent as ice when it comes to how he feels or what he thinks, and always tries to do the right thing, be it in the grade scheme of things, or just at that moment in time. Until recently Bobby didn't have much interest in justice or protecting those who could not protect themselves, but has recently learned that being one who is strong enough to do so means that you must.

He arrived at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters when he was quite young himself, only fifteen years old, and up until recently was quite hesitant and reluctant to further explore his budding powers. Bobby is still a little hesitant when it comes to pushing himself into areas that he has not explored before, be it with his powers or aspects of his personality that he has not conquered yet.

Bobby is always ready to be friends with just about anyone who doesn't consistently reject his efforts, so I'm very excited to start playing!

Some if not most of you already know me, I'm Dan (Beck & Rob's friend). I've been on and off with Beck's games for quite some time now, usually when we're not at each other's throats..lol (I <3 Beck) I just got done putting my own sci-fi RPG on hiatus because of a lack of activity, so my morale is kinda low. But, after a warm invitation I figured I would hop back on over here and play superheroes again. Though I'm unsure of my ability to play him appropriately, I will be playing Cyclops (seeing_red) whome you all know and my OC Pulse (asystole) which is a redone version of my old character Recon. Please check his profile out when you have the time. I wont have any wanted scenes up until I've had some time to play and get to know the other characters more and even my own! She's been at Xavier's for two months now though mostly locked away in counseling, probably annoying everyone on her hall with her nightmares, though at least that's toned down to most nights instead of every night. Those nightmares often end up with random ghosts meandering in and out of her room and the nearby hallway.

Rob here. Just wanted to let everyone know The Professor is now in the building. Starting today, I'm the new title holder of this classic (ain't he a beaut!). Watch out for that'n. FROM LEIGH: Here be JP. Aurora's twin brother and fellow speedster/light manipulator. He's also a best-selling novelist, a former professional skier, circus acrobat and member of Alpha Flight. Jean-Paul is 48 years old, but looks quite a bit younger than that! FYI: He LOVES to shop, preferably with females. Most guys just don't have the patience or know-how to shop, and therefore JP has very little patience to deal with anyone who can't spend more than 20 minutes in a mall without getting bored or antsy. Lol. Anyway, he's been at Xavier's before but has recently returned to help his sister get back to normal. (All together now: AWW!) Beware: He can be a bit snarky and rude sometimes but he's from Quebec, so that's to be expected. xD (I kid!)

Min here with my second character, Paige Guthrie, aka Husk, aka Sam's little sister...one of them, at least. Paigey's an overachiever, hellbent on getting straight As and one day working her way to the lead position on the X-men. Of course, right now she's still a little green and liable to rush into messes without fully thinking things through.

Paige is so excited to be away from Cumberland County, living the city life and following in her big brother's footsteps, so whoever wants to meet the country mouse, give me a ping, I'm always up for rpage. :D

Greetings, all! Amanda here, suffering from the latest bout of characteritis. I'm bringing in two more and that's it, I'm done. Period. Finis. I think. Anyway, the first of my two new pups is everyone's favorite Guthrie, Cannonball (or just Sam, if you don't do the whole codename schtick). Beck is responsible for the awesome pb suggestion, so thank her. I'll wait.

Basics: Sam just recently turned 22 and has been at Xavier's since he was 19, so he's been here for roughly three years. You can probably find him in the garage working on his baby his car, training in the Danger Room, or voluntarily (!) babysitting whatever munchkins happen to be about. See, Sam comes from a very large family, to put it mildly, and kind of misses being responsible for little'uns, so if you're younger than he is, odds are pretty good he's going to take you under his wing and mother you. Unless you're a cute female who has expressed any sort of interest, in which case he will stammer a lot, blush, and politely excuse himself to go do the aforementioned babysitting. He's working on it.

I don't have any wanted scenes up for Sam yet because I'm lazy and waiting until I get my other charrie done before updating the page, but if anyone wants to do anything with the resident redneck, hit me up here or at solo bandella on AIM.

Hello everyone out there! My name is Mabel, I'm 18 years old and just about to enter my senior year of high school. I also planning on bringing an amazing Iceman aka Bobby Drake to this roleplay. I'm currently residing in a small town in Southern Oregon and after school ends I'll be with you and posting quite a bit, actually the only thing on my summer schedule so far is a theatre day camp so I'm quite excited to have one more thing to do this summer. I've been roleplay for about 7 years now and have a good amount on experiance under my wing but this is only my 3rd or 4th X-Men roleplay so if I make any mistakes I hope you understand.

Hello there. My name is Hope, and I am very pleased to make your acquaintance. It's great to find an interesting, active X-Men game once more. It's been too long for me, so I really look forward to getting back into this awesome fandom.

I am 21 and a junior English major in college preparing to go on summer break. I'm really excited for all of the RPing that I will get to do in my free time. That leads me to introduce to you my character, Miss Jean Grey, otherwise known as Phoenix. I'm really excited to play her; I hope that you're as excited to have her around.

As a side note, Jean is not yet Phoenix. At this time, she is simply Jean Grey (Marvel Girl if you want to embarrass her). She has most of her psionic powers, but she also has heavy neural inhibitors, and she doesn't use her powers very often. Lately, classes are the extent of it as she is somewhat of a pacifist. Hopefully there will be some great trauma that a team cannot overcome, it will lead to her untimely demise (Sorry, Scott!), and she'll be able to come back better than ever. If you're interested in helping out with that plot, let me know.

So apparently I'm supposed to be making some kind of OOC post to introduce myself. So I think I'm going to do just that!

I'm Mike, in case any of you were wondering. I've taken up the role of Scott Summers, otherwise known as Cyclops. I'm actually pretty pleased to have found the place (Or did the place find us in this case?) I've been looking for a place with an open Scott, but it's much harder than it looks. Who'd have guessed, he's a pretty popular guy.

Alright...So, I'm up for pretty much anything, at pretty much anytime. I work three days a week right now. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so my posting then will be a little off. It's 8am-4:30pm EST, just so you all know. Other than that I'm generally around from 5ish to about 2 in the morning, depending on the day. I welcome any and all attempts at Rp, and will soon have a most wanted thread list up at least as soon as I can think of it.

Hello all! I'm Lindsey, and obviously, I'm brand spankin' new. I'm a recent college grad, role play addict, and jobless wonder. I'm very excited to get started and to play with all of you! It's been a while since I've been involved in an X-Men or comic-related game, so please, be gentle with me!

I'm bringing in Rogue. It's not my first time playing her, but it has been a while, and it's my first time playing her as being movie-canon and not comic-canon, so I'm really excited to explore the voice of this particular version. Now, there are many similarities to the Rogue from the movie, but there are also some differences, so hang with me while I try to summarize this. Like movie-canon, Rogue grew up in a white-picket-fence kind of world, but always wanted something more. And then she got it, and boy did it suck. So now she's chillin' in New York, has no money, and life pretty much sucks. In this version, Rogue met no awesomely awesome Wolverine in a bar, and so she's been on her own ever since leaving home. This has made her a little bit... darker, I guess, compared to the rather shy and sheltered Rogue we met in the movies.

As of right now, Rogue belongs to no affiliation. In fact, she hasn't been approached by either side. She's quite happily a mess in solitude right now. I have it figured that, unlike movie Rogue, she'll probably end up with the Brotherhood before she finds her way to the X-Men. I have a very small, tentative list of wanted scenes here (which will look prettier soon, I promise), and her profile is here!

Hello, I am Bill, and new to this game. I am a college student and avid role player in my free time, and I look forward to getting to know and play with all of you here.

I'm bringing in Alex Summers, one of my all time favorite X-Men. I've only really ever played him briefly, so I am looking forward to this opportunity. He's going to be somewhat standoffish and brooding at first, and jealous of anyone Lorna flirts with. At the same time, though, he's too nice a guy to try to blast Britannic into the next world or something (nevermind that Alex would well get pummeled if he tried!).

Since he has more time to himself, he'll be working toward finishing his doctorate. In the future I am hoping/thinking of perhaps having him infiltrate the Brotherhood (once there is more of a Brotherhood to infiltrate!) and maybe, (mods permitting!) a space faring adventure some day, like he has been doing in the comics of late.

But those are just future ideas!

Hello everyone! I am Alejandra (Alej) and I'm new here. I'm really excited to be a part of this game!

I am 18 and a freshman in college. Currently my major is English and History though this is the fourth time I've changed it *dies* so I guess we'll see. lol

As for my charie, I bring you Amara Aquilla (AKA Magma). She is 19 and has geothermal powers. Including the control of earth and fire, immunity to fire, as well as taking on a Magma form where she emites intense fire and light.

According to the mods she is going to be rooming with Jubilee and Minka. :)

She heals others by absorbing their injury/illness/whathaveyou and fixing it in her own body with a healing factor, which isn't as advanced as what Wolverine and Sabretooth and the like have, but it's something.

She's also a leeeetle bit unstable after basically letting someone die because she was scared her powers wouldn't work, but she's getting better.

She's, uh, also likely to weird you out by being almost junkie-like with injuries; they feel good when they start to heal, dontcha know, and it's kind of like a bizarre drug, so she might stab someone just so she can heal them and get that rush don't let that alarm you.

Various odds and ends:
-- We'll say she's been at Xavier's since, oh, the beginning of the year, okay? Okay.
-- She prefers to go by Katie, but she'll answer to Kaitlyn, Kate, and occasionally (if you're her grandmother), Katie-Lynn.
-- Her long-term goals are to become a semi-successful (at least professional in some sense) dancer, either in ballet or modern dance, and to gain further understanding of her powers so that she doesn't freeze up the next chance she gets to save someone. Short-term goals include kidnapping and marrying two of the three Gossip Girl, uh, boys, and paying off a collection of parking tickets before she gets sued.

Actually, in the comics, no one ever seems to want to sleep with him except Jay Pee. Poor guy lol.

So, about me. I'm 22. I've been role-playing for about 7 years now. I'm your typical Libra (No, really, Sun sign, Moon sign, Rising sign? All Libra.) Please don't come to me to make a decision. I can't do it. Well, that's not fair. I can, but I need all of the information, and time to weigh the pros and cons of each side of the argument. I adore all types of music, and religiously watch certain TV shows (General Hospital, Fringe, Lost, The Office, Heroes, and a whole bunch more). It takes me a bit to warm up to people, so don't be offended if I'm a little quiet, give it a bit, and then you'll be begging to shut me up.

Hello Everybody! If you can't tell by the Russian in the manshades this is Rob, once again. For the new comers I'm 24 (25 in July), married to our lovely and talented mod/creator, and I toil away my time in our local Wal-Mart. I'm a huge Star Wars-X-Men-Star Trek-Batman-and-anything related to or involving zombies fan.
