WHO: Fleur & Bill Weasley (and possibly an up-past-her-bedtime Victoire), Viktor Krum, Rolf Scamander, & Penelope Clearwater.
WHAT: Small impromptu Hogwarts staff dinner party.
WHERE: Shell Cottage.
WHEN: Friday 15 October, 7 PM-ish.
STATUS: Incomplete! - There are several sub-threads set up, so feel free to pick one or several to play in! We figured this would be the easiest way to handle a larger scene.
It felt good to finally be doing this. Since she had received word of getting the job, Fleur had it in mind to attempt some sort of informal meal with her fellow professors. The ones in her age-range, at least. She hadn't been expecting to find quite so many upon starting, however. Although it would have been nice to have a big group tonight, Fleur couldn't help but feel relieved that she had only heard back from three of her colleagues, one of whom she was already quite familiar with from years ago. Imagine if they had all said yes? The last-minute nature of her invitation, though she herself found it likely rather rude, seemed to have paid off in that respect. Besides, there would be time for more extensive parties in the future.
When she arrived home from Hogwarts, it was the the sights and smells of Bill already at work in the kitchen. It made her smile, thinking as she often did of just how lucky she had been to end up with him. After making sure Victoire was occupied in the living room with some paints (formulated not only to be safe for a toddler, but, almost as importantly, to not stain any surfaces), she set to helping prepare the meal. As seven o'clock drew nearer, all was nearly ready. The biggest thing to do now, it seemed, was wait to see who would arrive first.
Placing the lid on a simmering pot, Fleur put a spoon in her mouth thoughtfully before nodding in approval and tossing it into the sink. She smiled brightly at Bill.
"I think this may be the best we have done in a while."
