Forest Cafeteria The Winter College Campus Cafeteria. It is open at 8 for breakfast, 12 for lunch, and 5 for dinner. Every student that lives on campus gets three meals a day for the week. Central Park Rex Center consists of a lobby where you check in with your id, two changing rooms, a weight room, two back rooms one for yoga and the other for aerobics, and a main room that has a basket ball court at one end and workout equipment at the other. On the far wall is a rock climbing wall open from noon to 3 Monday through Thursday. On the second floor is the pool area, with two changing rooms, open from 10 am to 5pm Monday through Thursday. The Martin Doyle Library was named after the first Dean of Winter College, Dr. Martin Albert Doyle. The Library had a vast collection of books, magazines, videos, old slides, and other paper word over three floors. Around the outer edges of the Libary one bot the second and third floors are private study rooms. Students can check out as many books as needed, but they must have their ids. The Winter College Administration Building is at the center of the campus. It holds the Deans's offices, the records department, and the campus security. The campus security is run by certified policemen but students are allowed to work them. Jobs: Student aide(6), Student security(6) |
The Red Carpet Theater is one of the three largest buildings on campus. It has a large lobby with a box office, open from 10am to 3pm Monday-Friday and an hour before and after the show begins. It hosts two musicals a year, and two major plays in the Hollywood Theater. There is also two smaller theater rooms, where small plays are directed by the senior students. The 360 room is where the stage is in the center with seats on all four sides. The Black Box theater room is smaller than the Hollywood theater and allows the actors to bring the audience into the show. There is also a Greenroom where the actors wait to be called on stage, a costume room, a makeup/changing room, and a store room. Rounding out the theater is the offices of the five theater professors. All of the rooms, accept the offices also serve as classrooms. Named after Alumni Amber Smith, the Amber Smith Memorial Amphitheater is one of the largest building on campus. In the lobby is the box office open from 10am to 3pm Monday through Friday and an hour before and after the performance. It hosts four major concerts a year and several minor ones. Connected to the Amphitheater is the Music Building. It has four practice stages, including the largest for the orchestra, six rooms devoted to personal practicing, five class rooms, and the six offices of the professors. Behind each stage are large storage and changing rooms, there are also waiting rooms for the performers. Jobs: Box Office(2), Student aide(6) |
The Art building is one the largest and most oddly shaped. The building is shaped like an X with the Gallery facing the New York Skyline. The Gallery boasts art from great artists, Alumni, and students. Every senior gets an exhibit. To the left of the Gallery is the architecture wing with two drawing rooms and two computer rooms, there is also four classrooms, and three professor offices. Two the right of the Gallery is the graphic design hall with four computer rooms, three class rooms, and three professor offices. Straight from the Gallery is the traditional Arts hallway with two ceramic rooms with kilns out the back, two drawing rooms, two painting rooms, two black rooms, two classrooms, six professor offices and metal smith room on the end. Design Center is where the Fashion and Interior Design majors meet. Half the building is devoted the Fashion majors. They have two runways, two sewing rooms, a large drawing room, two classrooms and four smaller rooms for private inspiration. There is also a changing room, a fashion room where every student have their own cubby for on going projects, a climate controlled storage room in the back, and five professor offices. The other half of the building is dedicated to the Interior decorators. There are six mock rooms halved down the middle for students to decorate, three classes, four inspiration rooms, a large climate controlled storage room and four professor offices. The ES Building has two floors to it. First floor is the General Studies floor for all the freshman general classes, there is also seven professor offices, seven classrooms, and two computer rooms. The second floor is the Creative Writing floor. There are four class rooms, ten private study rooms, two computer labs, and six professor offices. Jobs: Student aide(13) |
The Film and Mass Communication Building is split much like the Design Center is. On one side is the Mass Communication. There is where the soundproof radio station, four classrooms, TV station set up, and three professor offices. The other side is the Film section. There is two large edit rooms, two class rooms, two large filming rooms, a film storage room, and four professor offices. Jobs: Storage room attendant(2), Student aide(7) |
The Julia Child Culinary Building is named after the famous chief, even though she never attended. The building is the smallest with four kitchens, two classrooms, a mock dinning room, and four professor offices. Jobs: Student aide(4) |
The Winter Dance Theater has a large performance stage, a waiting room behind the stage, changing rooms, five dance classrooms, a lobby and box office open from 10am to 3pm Monday through Friday and an hour before and after the performance, and seven professor offices.
