WHO: Wynonna & Dan
WHAT: Wynonna takes a nap, with some assistance
WHERE: Snooze Room, Chakrabarti Clinic
WHEN: Wednesday afternoon
WARNINGS: Safe to proceed
STATUS: Complete
The clinic in Vallo City, tailored specifically to Outlanders (though homeworld denizens could come in as well), was very new - it still had that ‘new clinic’ smell, in fact, which was all antiseptic and cleaning supplies; for Dan, he hadn’t associated the place with any specific hospital smell yet - like the way bone dust tended to smell like Fritos, or the sharp tang of blood, or the terrible coffee in the breakroom. It was the right decision to switch from the hospice wing to here, where he didn’t specifically have to focus on hospice - even if that was where he’d been for the past eight or so years. Change could be good, however. He felt positively about it, and about getting his CNA certification - nursing school would come next, he’d be able to work while attending classes, and it seemed like it was all falling into place. For now. He’d just finished his afternoon rounds, disposed of the needles and tubing in the proper way (Dan was diligent, he was a diligent studier too - he didn’t cram for exams last minute, but would study a little each night and quiz himself often), and when it was two on the dot he headed out into the waiting space to bring Wynonna back to one of the private rooms. The furniture out in the waiting room was bright and open but more intimate and homelike when you got past that - comfy bed, low lights, carefully monitored temperature so it was at Goldilocks levels (not too hot, not too cold). She’d be able to catch some winks here, anyway. “So, how have you been?” he asked as he showed her inside, shutting the door behind them, rolling up his sleeves beneath his scrub top.
