I find it almost disturbing just how quickly and how easily I've taken to caring for Calliope while ... well, while she's not herself.
Even so I still need to take care of myself as well, which I haven't been doing as well as I should, all things considered. That said, I feel like going for a walk, would anyone care to join me? |

EDIT: Locked away from cop/crime fighter type people
Okay. I thought I understood this place, but I was just going over to where my wife and her ... young lady live, when my fancy-ass cell phone rang. It was one of "my girls" calling from a hospital. Cryin' and tellin' me she got roughed up by a john.
I haven't run girls since before I went to prison. Like, the 1950s even. But this ain't the '50s.
Still. Don't like it when a woman gets roughed up. Went and took her home. Thanked me real nice, especially when I told her if she sees him again, call me and I will make it damn clear how that punk ought to treat a lady.
I gotta find a way out of this. Calliope'll kick my ass ... but apparently there's like ten of those girls and who the hell else would watch over 'em? And how the hell did I get the job in the first place? |
