I wanted you to know. Carlo has been breathing down my neck about being seen with other women. Royal women, or those that I might be expected to be interested in. I'll be having dinner with Princess Beatrice, from somewhere called the Netherlands, soon, and it might be in the news-papers. But I wanted you to be aware that I'm frankly not interested. She's not a pretty woman, and seems to have no thought in her brain except about hats. I dislike having to do anything for sheer image, but that's all this is for.
