Isabela, I hope you enjoy your gifts. They're on the Gypsy.

Maker, they're everywhere. I don't want to step on the boat for fear of crushing them underfoot.

They're lovely, and so is that ring. It fits, too. Thank you; it's sweet.

You can if you like, there's a bouquet in a vase by your bed.

You're welcome. I love you, and wanted to wish you a safe trip when you go. Jack asked for my permission.

I'm glad he asked; he didn't think he had to bother, but I told him to. Even from Gibraltar to Monaco is a long sail for a boy.

I'm lying on my bed rolling in flowers. And you've never said that before. I certainly feel it.

He didn't, but I'm glad he did.

That was my intention.

I am, too. It'll be Jack, myself and my two mates, pirate captains both. Gypsy's a cutter, so we can sail her three-handed if need be. And I think given what you've just done for me, she'll forgive you for calling her an it.

And I'm sorry, I don't know what to say; I'm not at all used to being treated so nicely. I've only really ever loved one person, and it broke their heart in the end.

Oh, I apologize. I didn't know the proper protocol. Pass along my apologies, please.

All love is a risk, it just depends on if it's one worth taking.

Gypsy accepts and won't push you in the water next time you step on board.

You're a risk worth taking. And trust me. I know odds.

That would probably make you and Jack laugh, I think.

I'm glad we're taking it together.

I need to stop being an idiot. You've made it stupidly easy to fall for you. What you do with that is up to you. I don't think you'll use it for ill.

I have a better poker face than Jack. In fact, I think it's going to make me quite a lot of - legal! - money. There's really only one better career choice for a reader of people than what you do. Speaking of poker.

Of course I won't. It's not something I'd use for any reason besides to care for you.

You know, I'm actually not very good at poker.

That's my point, though. I believe you.

And I'll be nice and tell you two things: don't ever play a game called Wicked Grace with any of my mates, and I am very, very good at poker.
