[Brenda:] Small kids in the house on Christmas! I'm going to find out Lilo's take on Santa. If yes on Santa, we'll have to figure out how to be super-sneaky about things. You know how astute the pookah is.

[Lilo:] What's your take on Santa? Different people have different opinions on him.

We'll also have to find out if we've got a pickle ornament, and if not, we need one.

Weird little tradition, kid who finds the pickle first gets a present for being the most observant.

... You think we'll be able to keep Stitch off the tree?

We'll need it just because that's freaking awesome. I totally forgot about that, my stepmom did that for my sisters and brother and me. Guess who never won. XD

Yeah, I think he'll be okay about it, we'll just have to tell him how special and important it is. If that doesn't work, plan B is it's his special duty to guard the tree and make sure nobody knocks it over, breaks it, or otherwise messes with it. Plan C - get him a special climbing tree.

Keller!

I like plan B, if it weren't for the likelihood of him attempting to stay up all hours guarding. Might be able to convince him that pine trees aren't for climbing because they're... I don't know, like the babies of the tree family, have to be careful with them.

Me! Him too, but me especially. It just proves that WOMEN ARE SCARY PERCEPTIVE.

No lying. Maybe give him guarding duty hours.

That's a better plan! We could even write up a sheet, give everybody guarding duty for an hour or two.

But then they'll make a game of it, and you know they'll wind up smashing something or another.

Yikes.

...Starting to think maybe another tree just for climbing is a better idea.

So. Plastic or real? Because I found this really cool black tree and some really fun silver ornaments. We should get everyone their own ornaments!

We always got real ones, but if we get one that's black it's got to have hot pink garland to go with.

And of course everyone gets their own, me and Glyn and Torii always got a couple for yule and the tree just got more crowded every year, but it was always awesome.

Oh, that's awesome! Yeah, if we find a black enough real tree, awesome idea.

If we did that for all our family and friends for more than one year, the tree will be overpacked! Let's let them take their ornaments home after Christmas, so they can put it on their trees. Our kids will be plenty enough for a while.

So. Freaking. Excited.

Good stuff! Want to write him a letter, and tell him what you really want for Christmas?

Sure! It won't be a lot of things. I'm sort of worried about his chiropractic bill.

Oh, I think he'll be fine, he does this every year, you know. He must have the strength of about a billion really strong guys. Makes me wonder how he can stay so round.

Exactly why I'm worried. Though I think he probably has a middle man that does most of the heavy lifting that we don't know about.

The Swedes believe in an elf that follows him around and helps him do all that work, who used to be some poor farm-helping elf, but Santa found him a better job. I guess it had better benefits.

And instead of mucking out the stables for cows and stuff, he gets to haul gifts for kids. I bet his off season work is mucking out the reindeer stalls, though.

And reindeer poop a lot. They're really big, and there's a bunch of them. Plus the ones that don't have names that they eat.

Seriously. And I bet they've got other stuff to eat, too. Chickens or something. Arctic chickens.

... those are still just called chickens, Teague-Dad.

They've got to be more hearty than regular chickens, to survive the North Pole, though. More feathers or something. I mean, it's cold where we are, think about how much colder it is all the way north.

Yeah, but the dogs from up north are still dogs, they just have different sub-species names. I bet that's what you meant. You're smart!

Of course! Brenda-Mom is probably hard to shop for, so you'll need help.
