Week Change!
Beloved Players,
Before we get to the week change this week, we have a few announcements:
1) Sadly, Orion (who played our Adelaide Blackwood (our town Robor), Sabine Darrow (our Town Marshall) and Kelly Rhys (a staffmember at Rosier) had to drop the game. We'll miss them, and we wish them the best! Their characters will be written out during the week change.
2) Because we’ve had to extend the past several game weeks, we’ve decided to go ahead and extend all future game-weeks to three real-time weeks instead of two. We hope that this gives everyone ample time to complete threads and interact with the game-week events! This gameweek should take us through approximately May 20th.
3) Thanks for your feedback on the time skip! We’ll be skipping forward to the week of March 21st (Canwyn 1) next game week. We’ll have further information about it soon, and we’ll put up a plotting post for people to work out what’s been going on between their characters in the interim, and backthreads are encouraged!
4) New Rules update: We’re still not going to be doing formal activity checks, but if we have not heard from you either IC or OOC for a full three weeks, we will assume that you are no longer interested in playing and will sweep your characters. You can read additions to the rules post here.
Now, on to the events of the week! And as always, feel free to use this entry to post your desired thread ideas and get plot for the week.
Happy playing!
- The Mods
Weather: Sunny and clear. High of 61 degreesMonday
- Aurellians at both manors receive the day off to attend services at the temple.
- Aurellian-run businesses are closed or operating under restricted hours today.
- Bound Aurellians are required to appear at the Infirmary for their weekly Faidoux treatment.
- Any bound Aurellian who fails to appear before 7 PM will be fined, imprisoned, or otherwise punished, however, because the town Marshall quit and returned home on Saturday night, some people throw caution to the wind and skip their injection, thinking that they’ll be able to slip the fine. [Note: If you’d like your character to try to skip their injection this week, please let the mods know! There will be consequences for this action.]
- The additive that made bound Aurellians more lethargic is not present this week. However, the keen-eyed Aurellians will notice that the serum is delivered in a sleeker, re-designed syringe and the serum’s color is slightly different. Injection-site reactions are noticeably worse this week.
- Rosier housekeeper Morrigan Kelly takes a brief leave of absence to go to Castyll to deal with a medical issue. She departs on the 8 AM train.
- Danu Llewellyn hears Admission after services are over, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Weather: Sunny. High of 65.Tuesday
- Due to pushback from Aurellian patrons over last week’s intentional food poisoning incident, the owner of Ceddon’s Bounty nearly fires several Clovennian staff members. However, their jobs are saved at the last moment, likely due to pressure placed on them by Clovennian influencers in town.
- Robor Blackwood unexpectedly proffers his resignation, saying that this past Sunday will be his last service. He departs on the afternoon train back to Canna.
Weather: Overcast, light rain in the morning, cloudy in the afternoon. High of 49.Wednesday
- Another “Aurellian-based” trivia night takes place in the upper room at Ceddon’s. As usual, the trivia night is touted to be about Aurellian culture, but features many purposefully cruel and stereotypical questions. The Clovennian host even tells a couple of Aurellian jokes in between questions. Tucker Belmont is in attendance.
- The position of Marshal is filled by newly-arrived Clovennian, Elias Quirino-Ricoeur. He immediately has his work cut out for him, rounding up those Aurellian who missed their injection on Sunday.
- To celebrate his birthday, Tucker hosts a private party at his house. Few guests are invited. The Rosiers are not on the list.
Weather: Cloudy with light wind in the morning and high wind in the evening. High of 54.Thursday
- A small acting troupe passing through Glynn puts on a one-act comedy in Ceddon’s main room. The story revolves around a Dea in love with the beautiful but painfully oblivious Robor of her town. The themes are light and romantic and done entirely in the Aurellian style in both language and humor.
- Roan leader Swallowtail secures information about exactly which train will be carrying the next shipment of Faidoux to Glynn, a train that will arrive in several weeks. Plans are set into motion to attack the train and destroy its cargo, and volunteers are recruited for this dangerous mission. [More on this plot soon! hit us up if your character would like to participate!]
- Danu Llewellyn hears Admission in the evening.
Weather: Chilly in the morning with fog that burns off around noon. High of 49.Friday
- Antoine’s Blues Palace hosts a Clovennian burlesque troupe known as The Harlequinade. The show is a striking success mixing risque comedy with singing, dancing, and naturally a strip-tease.
- Tucker’s real birthday party is thrown at Antoine’s, where he is prominently situated, enjoying the entertainment to its fullest extent.
- Wracked with guilt, scullery boy Kelly Rhys confesses to the theft of Lord Rosier’s orchids. He insists he worked alone and is summarily fired.
- Morrigan Kelly returns to Rosier Manor on the 10 AM train.
- Suffragette Michelle LeClerc dies in prison under mysterious circumstances.
Weather: Scattered clouds, light drizzle in the evening, high of 62 degrees.Saturday
- A prominent paper from Castyll breaks a major story about a financial scandal surrounding one of the members of First Minister Galway’s advisory council.
- A shop in Glynn receives a shipment of the popular but extremely elusive Clovennian perfume Cœur #9.
- In response to LeClerc’s death, a small group eight suffragettes all upper-class women, march on the Bellailean prison in which she died. All are arrested.
Weather: Sunny and clear, high of 68 degrees.
- A moon viewing event is hosted by the Temple and Glynn’s Astronomy Enthusiasts’ Club on the town green to view a predicted Lunar Eclipse/Blood Moon. Hot tea and warm honeyed milk are served to attendees.
- Clovennian newspapers publish a flurry of stories about the jailed suffragettes, who are quickly dubbed the “Irate Eight.” This only adds fuel to the upcoming march on Parliament, and its sister march in Castyll.
