It's rather strange, sitting in front of this screen and writing something in the hope that someone reads it - but this is what they told me I should do, and that it is a common way of communicating in this world. And I suppose it's no more strange than using the palantirs - not that I tried them much.

So if anyone really reads this - this is Galadriel speaking, Galadriel of the Golden Wood. If there's anyone from Middle-earth out there, I'd like to get in touch.

Oh, and some of you would know me better as Artanis. That's what I used until Celeborn named me Galadriel.

Findarato! Is that really you? My own brother?

None other, Artanis. From when have you come here? I know your story, and my own - I have read the books about your life.

You have? I think it will take me some time getting used to people knowing about me from books.
From when ... oh, I see what you mean.
We have left Middle-earth, we've been sailing out of Mithlond for a few days, with Elrond, and some others from Imladris, and Mithrandir and the Hobbits - in fact, when I arrived, I first thought it was another test from the Valar. I was annoyed that they should first forgive me and grant me access to Valinor, and then suddenly stop me and add a final test - but they say that they have nothing to do with the Valar, and I believe them.

Nay, they certainly have nothing to do with the Valar, they speak true. Although there is one of the Ainur here, his name is Castiel and he healed Findekákno when his injuries were nearly too much for him to bear.

Maitimo is also here, and Turukáno, and Gwindor and Fëanáro, and you would know Glorfindel and Legolas?

Lindir? Is that you?
But you chose to stay at Imladris, didn't you?
There are so many people here, I'm almost getting confused ...

Aye, my lady! It isn't so difficult after a time; there are Fëanorians and there are us.

Ah, yes. Forgive me. I did not forget you on purpose.

That's all fine and well, my lord. The Lady knows me.

Glorfindel has lived at Imladris with Elrond for a long time. I've often met him there. Legolas I also know - he was part of the fellowship that dealt with the Ring of Power, they stayed with me for several weeks.
Oh, I guess now I will need to know 'when' they came from - but I suppose I can meet them eventually, and ask them themselves?

Maitimo, you say, and Turukano, and ... there's a whole colony of us then!

But Findekano - he needed healing, you say? For something that happened here, or - before he arrived?

Yes. You remember the Nirnaeth Arnoediad? He came from the end, after he had been brutalized by the servants of Morgoth.

Yes, I remember. I was told about it. They ...

Yes, he would indeed need healing after what they did to him.

An Ainu called Castiel, you say? I guess he's not of the Valar, then. I don't remember the name from Valinor - although it's a long time since I left.

Aye, Castiel. He is good and kind and fair.

I had thought when I arrived here that I was at last upon those fair shores, but it was not the case. A disappointment, to be sure.

So you don't come from Valinor? Then again, this Tesseract they speak of, perhaps wouldn't work there ...

Nay. I came here from the Halls of Waiting.

And you thought that your time of waiting was over, and then you only came here. I don't blame you for being disappointed.

We must meet some time, brother. Just writing on a screen and seeing only such a small picture of you is rather strange. There would be somewhere we could meet, wouldn't there?

Of course, sister. We could meet wherever you like. I have wine in my chambers.

I would very much like to visit you in your chambers. This evening, perhaps?
