This is such a bold, dark piece. Grisly and so intense in spots. Not typically a combination that I enjoy, but here it works beautifully. I love the atmosphere of the story. The characterizations were exceptional and even the smallest detail is used to maximum effect.

Really amazing.

Okay, I saw the summary, and the warnings, and I had to read this even though I'm WAY behind on reading. And WOW. I love it. It's just... perfect. Great fic, perfect Snape, wonderful plot, great characterization for all. I just love it.

Wow--soooo dark. Good twist there--I thought I'd figured it out, but hadn't--great job misleading the reader. A little too much suffering Harry for my taste, but Snape to the rescue almost made up for it ;-) I also wish there'd been a little more happily (sort of) ever after, but it would be ripe for a sequel, now wouldn't it? WIth my favorite Snarco? Please, pretty please?

But really great story--wonderful plotting, great characterizations, really detailed setting, interesting post-war relationships. I liked it very much.

LOL You were in luck today. I have to be in the mood for anything even remotely dark. Today was one such day. And this was dark just the way I like (or tolerate) it - dark, but with that thread of hope that it'll be at least okay at some point in the future. That you gave us an ending that all but guarantees that "okay" was an added bonus.

LOL Have to say, though, the mosquito spell scene...if you'd drug that out any longer I'd have had to stop reading. *shudders* Mosquitos are the bane of human existence where I live.

*is proud* I had the "bad guy" figured out. *S* When you mentioned the two men having a connection to That City, I thought the other might be too easy. Glad I was right!

On the whole, very well written. Great characterizations. A little heavy on Harry's suffering for my every-day tastes, but I think it had to be that way to make it more believable. Well done.

It felt so good to read this all in one sitting, trying to see it for the first time. Lovely, gruesome, gritty sexual perversions; you have one hell of an imagination! The mosquitoes made me scratch and fidget, but I loved the waxplay!

Such a sympathetic Draco in this, and Snape comes around too. Liked the wizarding/Muggle meld of a plot, and you know I had the wrong 'bad guy' picked out, so I think you hid that really well. My favorite scene is the one where Snape first reveals who he really is to Harry. And poor Harry; even though he's been to hell and back, he's been able to keep his mind and even hold on to a bit of hope.

I thought the Gringotts bit at the end was genius! Great characterization throughout, especially your secondary ones--even your Muggles seemed convincing and real, and the shift to the States made the situation seem all that much more hopeless for Harry, but then again...not.

Really picked out my buttons and pushed them hard hard hard! You nailed your genre and propmts--nailed! Great job!

So very dark and intense. I like the comforting scenes between Snape and Harry once the real Snape finally finds him. I was not expecting Goyle to be the Polyjuiced Snape at all, an excellent surprise. I like how you have the Polyjuice working in this story. It's always interested me about how it works with DNA (since it's based from something biological of a person I would assume that any injuries, scars, missing limbs/eyes, etc wouldn't appear on the Polyjuiced individual. They would appear to be the whole version of the individual, who they are genetically. I guess magic also affects the Polyjuice too. Sorry, got off topic a bit, lol). A perfect and wonderful ending. Magnificent work!!~Sophia

Ooh, Drapery, my threesome favourite! An excellent dark fic with light at the end, I found this compulsive, couldn't stop until I knew what happened and who was responsible. I liked the way you handled the other characters too, Pansy (bless her devious little mind), Theo, Ron and Hermione, and Lucius was wonderful.

An excellent fic, GO SNITCHES!

This was.......... intense. No doubt about it. Harry's suffering was, at times, almost inhuman, and those mosquitoes... good lord, that made me twitch!

This entire universe felt very real and graphic to me, your descriptions of places and people came across very well. Excellent use of additional characters and... well... I didn't figure out who the real bad guy was until almost the end! (I suck at that sometimes!)

You had me up until almost 1am because I HAD to finish it!!!!
Well done.

oh my! that was certainly tough to read! poor harry suffering so much! very well written, intense, but oh so dark.. I usually tend to avoid this kind of story because they shake me up for days. I'm glad there was a happy ending, otherwise I'd be completely thrown.. I haven't read anything very dark for a long time, so I braved your story and I'm glad I did, you're an expert storyteller! I had to keep reading once I've started, so well done!!

Oh my word ... This was wrong and right and very very hot. I loved the mystery element - you did a great job taking a well used scenario and making it very real and gritty within a believable plot. Fab writing throughout and right up my street. Oh, I do still love my Harry <3!

Dark and delicious! My heart was in my throat throughout this story, and I was sooo convinced it was Theo! Great job with that twist. You definitely stretched my kink limits with some of the out-and-out torture, though it really was necessary to the story and Harry's characterization. And yay for the ultimate Snarco!! I was feeling bad for Draco, but he got his reward in the end. For some reason, I expected it to be Harry waking up between Severus and Draco at the end---loved that it was Severus in the middle. And Lucius' cameo was perfect. I want a sequel, where they work out who's on top of who! Well done!

This was almost too intense -a great read, but I can't tell you how relieved I was when poor Harry was finally freed. *cuddles him* Draco and the other Slytherins were a real treat too, as was the Snarco-in-the-making. Harry can surely use a lot of loving after all that.

It is great getting to read this straight through, it is such a daring work!. I adored the dark, hidden ambiance of the story, the thoughtful, descriptive characterizations, and the detailed, plotty narrative arch. Some of the parts were so horrific that I nearly had to stop because it grew so intense. Needless to say, your clues/red herrings were wonderful, since I missed the kidnapper on the first reading, but even on the (third/fourth?), I would have been hard pressed to definitively point to the true criminal if I hadn’t known. Well done!

btw, did you get my links of pretty boy-submissive pics?

Wow! I had such a hard time reading this. There was several times where it got so intense that I had to take breaks. It wasn’t the bdsm part (I usually love bdsm but only when it’s consensual) but Harry’s story. I felt so much for him and his pain. It was so intense. I loved the surprise at the end, I was convinces more than ½ through that Theo was the one.
I’m not sure how I feel about the story, writing and characterization was amazing and the story was riveting but it may have been too much for me, I was depressed all day while reading it, though the end was uplifting. I kinda wanted to see Gregg tortured, get his comeuppance. This is definitely a story that will stay with me for days.

Ohohoho. You know how I love my non-con and as soon as you mentioned the idea for it on Team Snitch, I knew I would love to read it. I'm curious to go through it and see what you've changed or haven't changed since I've read it, but I'm trying to be good and do work first. We'll see if I can maintain it :)

Excellent job. I'm going to be reccing this in my journal on my next 'data' day

Oh my, where to start? At the beginning, I suppose-thank you for being willing to spoil me a little because as you know I was concerned about reading this. I am glad I did. You spun a marvelous, if graphic, tale. My heart was breaking for Draco and Severus as well as Harry of course. The false-rescue was horrible, because it is always worse once you've had your hopes raised to see them crushed so completely. And I don't know how to explain it, but much of the graphic violence described seemed distant, more the telling of it than living it and that did make it easier to read in places. Although I'm sure Harry has a long road ahead of him, he does have two men who love him to help him heal. Great job, darling.

And silly me worrying about the time it would take to read this! Nothing to fear! I spent the evening reading, and because of the themes and suspense, I barely noticed the passage of time!
WELL DONE!
I loved how you used your genre in so many different ways.

I felt so bad for Harry, Severus and Draco, but at the same time, my love of rentboy fics kept me rooted to my chair!

This had all the makings of a grisly murder mystery with an undercurrent of romance and the emotional spike of a blockbusting thriller. I made a mess out of my hand from all the nail-biting! Seriously! (but with the hopeful ending, my heart has stopped it's frantic banging)

Way to take a lot of risks. I'd love to hear about your writing process during this piece.

YAY, Snitches!!!! *hugs*

Wow, this was intense! Poor Harry is really put through the wringer throughout this story, and you did a great job of conveying his psychological state in coping with it all. The relentless tension and suspense built to a fever pitch by the time Draco was talking to the goblin about the will, and your misdirection as to the villain was very effective.

Your characterizations of everyone were wonderful, from Snape's pre-emptive rejection of Harry to Ron's endless suspicions to Hermione's logical approaches. The idea of Draco in the WMPD was intriguing and apt as a Slytherin approach to making his way in the post-Voldy world. I enjoyed Pansy and Theo as well, and the way you wove them into the rescue. The happy ending felt believable, as it didn't minimize the trauma of Harry's imprisonment or the toll it had taken on him, but fortunately he has two wonderful men to help him heal. This was a gritty and engrossing tale.
