Credit
If you keep the image in the layout (logo), then it isn't necessary to have a link in the sidebar. However, if you wish to remove the the image then I would appreciate it.

Questions
If you have questions, please ask in comments. I'll try to get to you. If you are not part of InsaneJournal, please leave a name so I'll at least know who you are. :)

Note
If you see a staggered gradation in the images in your layout, which might result from your computer saving the images as .bmp only, I learned from [info]carriep63 that it is most likely due to the need to clean out your temporary internet files.

This is a gorgeous layout and I would really love to use it for [info]muse_minded, but I have tried this every which way that I can, and I can't get it even close to working. :( I also tried the LJ instructions here, and didn't do anything. Can you help?
1st-Feb-2008 08:52 pm (UTC) - Thanks
I think it's the first time I found a layout and I don't have to change something in it!!!! Thanks !!!

I see you fixed the layout... sorry I couldn't help you :( I was a bad lj friend.

Hey, I remember you from LJ's s2_bloggish; you helped me out now and then. Lovely layout. If I were to change the header and font size, and other small adjustments I would want to make, would you allow that?

Hi! I snagged this. It's beautiful, and thanks for making the instructions so user friendly. :)

This is gorgeous, and exactly what the type of layout I've been looking for. So thanks a bunch! I just have one slight problem. The tags don't show up in the sidebar of my journal. Any idea what going on there? It's not a huge deal if they're not there, so don't worry about it if your too busy to answer!

Thanks again for making this awesome layout! ^_^

I like this layout very much, and am using it for my current IJ journal. ^^; I am having a little trouble with some of the spacing but currently, it's not too big of an issue.

I was wondering, however, if I could change the header? That, as well as, how I could add more sections/lists to the left hand column?

Thanks, and lovely job on this layout.

Beautiful design--very easy to implement! I hope you continue doing these as I have a couple of other journals I'd love to have set up, just as prettily.

22nd-May-2008 10:52 pm (UTC)
Also...just noting I changed the image to a feather, because of the ij's content. I may use this over at LJ too--but will say so, if I do so. This is a lovely design and I expect I'll get compliments once it is revealed!

I feel like I've accomplished something tonight! Thank you for making this so easy!

Fantastic layout. :) Thank you for sharing. I'm crap with codes etc. but with a little time and concentration I got those images in. Wahey! LOL

Just a note: you may want to fix this in your Live Journal CSS:

.day h2 {
font-size: 18px;
font-weight: bold;
padding: 0 0 5px 10px;
background-image: url(http://www.insanejournal.com/palimg/deardiary/headinggrad.png/ptffffffcc0000);
background-position: bottom left;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
margin: 16px 0 8px 0;
font-family: "Garamond", "Palatino", "Palatino Linotype", serif;
color: #A91313;
}

I will also say, I am saving this - when I use it, I will definitely credit. Excellent work. Beautiful.

What a gorgeous layout! I just uploaded it -- thank you!

I have a couple of questions that aren't life-threatening, but would be great if they're easy fixes. I added in the extras, shifting my mood theme to the left and adding tags. I really would like to see all my tags (instead of having the vertical bar) but if I do this, it'll push my links waaaay down the page. With my old Bloggish layout, I had my links above the tags. Is this possible?

My other question concerns the theme layer I made, my first ever. I added:

layerinfo "type" = "theme";
layerinfo "name" = "Baroque";

which worked fine, but when under that I entered:

layerinfo "type" = "user";
layerinfo "name" = "Baroque";

I got a compilation error message. I removed it, and it seems to be working. But I know I'm doing something wrong.

Oh, one other little thing -- in your stylesheet you've written "bcalendarimage.jpg" when it should be "bcalendarimage.gif". Thought you'd want to know!

Thank you again! This is such a beautiful layout!

I really love this layout, but I can't get it to work properly. I don't know what's wrong. If you've got the time, do you think that you could have a look?

Many thanks. :)

This is gorgeous, will probably use it here. =] I might change the header in the future though, if that would be alright? Thank you so much for sharing this.

I'm using this on my fanfic journal, and have credited you in my user info - thanks! I hope you create more layouts :)

It's gorgeous! Thank you so much for making.
13th-Mar-2009 02:49 am (UTC) - Navigation
Beautiful layout! Only question is when I posted the layout just to try it on for size, I couldn't get the Navigation section to come up that's shown in the Preview. Any way to add on a link to view previous entries?

Thanks so much!
