Don't go to bed angry
I know I am deliberately misinterpreting the scene, but c'mon. It's Scans_daily.

Previews for the conclusion to X-men: Utopia are on CBR.

...just work it out during the sex. The space left in between them in bed really makes you think Hank was just there.

Did Hank walk in on them? Did they enjoy a "fur pile"? What will Agent Brand of S.W.O.R.D. say?

It boggles the mind.

It looks like it will be a decent battle issue.

I really want to see X-23 vs. Daken.

I really want to see X-23 beat the shit out of him. And then be all "LOGAN I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU!"

Then they could go for ice cream?

Sorry, I... that is the cutest mental image ever. She drops the body at Wolverine's feet and does the "Shower me with affection, now, for I have brought you a present!" thing that cats do.

Yeah, that is really what I most want to see in this as well. It would make the whole series worthwhile..

And on another matter, interesting that we're not seeing much of the Sentry in this. Since telepaths aside, he could have caused the X-men some real problems..

Yeah, but WITH telepaths he would have been an absolute liability; so it's feasible he was deliberately kept out of it.

I know what you're saying, given Sentry's mental problems, but then does Norman's team have any kind of defence against telepaths? That could be true of all of them.

Although I suppose the x-team telepath thing is something we should overlook. Given it's the equivalent of what speedsters are in the JLA. (i.e A power that if it was used to it's fullest potential would mean they'd be beating pretty much every team they came up against..)

Now I have to think about it...:P

Ares has the whole god/willpower thing. Its always been shown to be difficult to do mental stuff to really powerful/evil/cosmic types.

Daken's gotta have the same mental blocks Logan had, right?

Moonstone/Marvel made short work of the one telepath who attacked her. Probably due to the general protection of the cosmic stone that she's merged with.

The symbiote is an alien and has been shown with minor touch telepathy. A shared mind would be more difficult to influence as well.

Osborn's gotta be using something in his armor constantly to keep telepaths from influencing him. SHIELD or reverse engineered from Stark type tech.

Bullseye and Captain Marvel seem defenseless. Sentry might be..his power has a telepathic component otherwise he wouldn't have been able to erase the world's memory, but he may not be able to control it on a conscious level.

Hmm,

Not too sure about the Daken one. Does Logan's mental blocks not come from Xaviers's x-team training or was it a weapon x type addition?

If the latter, then maybe Daken might have gained something similar at some point..

Osborn though, it is logical that you would asume that to be the case. But Stark himself has been mentally manipulated quite a few times, whilst in the armour, and Norman certainly isn't the mechanical genius that Stark was. So if anything he should more vulnerable to it, unless as you said there's some sort of Shield defence that they might have developed..

The Symbiote is anyone's guess, but yeah I would expect Ares and Moonstone to be less affected.

Wait, is that the real Beast or "Mengele With Fur" Beast? And did they find Xavier too, or did Beast just get loose on his own?

The page shown here is set before the whole Utopia thing started, so it's just normal Beast. I haven't read all of Utopia yet, just kind of flipped through it, but as far as I know, Xavier and Beast haven't been rescued yet. I am quite curious to see what Beast looks like after the "treatments" that Dark Beast gave him.

With the things like his hair and nails falling out, I kind of wonder if he's changing back to his original hairless/kitty faceless form. Like he was when the X-Men comics first started. But then again, he first got all the hair and stuff by messing up some sort of experiment, didn't he? So it's not really part of his mutation. Unless they just decided to pretend it is now. *shrugs*

Although I have to agree with you and hope that nothing too horrific has happened to him. Poor Beast.

He originally got the fur from a formula he made to 'boost his mutation', or something like that. Probably counts as an artificial mutation.

You know, I never remember so many (any?) Cyclops/Jean bed scenes and they were a couple for decades and were married. But I can recall at least 3 or 4 scenes of Scott/Emma off the top of my head. I can't believe their bedroom romps are so hot they are constantly in bed (if that were the case Emma wouldn't have had to dress up as Jean or still be jealous of a corpse). Is it just that artists like drawing Emma in next-to-nothing or something else?

And I'm really surprised Henry hasn't left before this. Of all people why should Scott have secrets from him?

(Reply to this) (Thread)

Emma is only a sex symbol. Jean was girl next door. Scott/Emma's relationship is based purely on sex.

Everything in X happens all at once, he didn't have time to investigate what Scott was up to when he refused to tell Henry what he was doing with the time devices. If he knew, Henry wouldn't put up with the death squad. But jeez, Scott didn't tell Emma either, and she has almost no respect for boundaries, but more important, she wouldn't have stopped him! She'd have helped him! On the other hand, Emma is oddly bad at keeping secrets--you can tell when she's holding back. Scott keeps everything secret. It's all about the security!

The following page has a caption telling us about DARK X-MEN: THE CONFESSION. That was the first I had heard about it, and a quick search says it is due out September 23. The writer is Christopher Yost and the
penciler is Bing Cansino.

I'm not sure to what degree Scott setting up X-Force is as bad as Emma in the Cabal. Scott's version of X-Force sounds like something Emma would come up with. Emma is only a part of the Cabal because Norman guessed Scott would turn him down.

Yeah, so in the rest of the preview, I love that Bullseye is shooting arrows at all of the youngest X-Men/students. Stay classy, Bullseye.

Bullseye is doing what he does best, making his shots count, maximum hurt. Taking out the kids will make the adults pause for a second to check on them.

As for the earlier comment by someone else about Scott puttin g the kids out in the front line, the original 5 students were younger than that when they faced off against Magneto and Sentinels and the like.

Oh, I don't deny that it's a good plan on his part. I just find it funny whenever they show what a scumbag Bullseye really is.

Although Bullseye might regret his actions since on the last page of the preview we see Scott sending Warren after him. And apparently not the good side of Warren.

Is Illyana Rasputin among the kids he's shooting at? If so I hope for his sake he goes for the head shot, as I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of anyone who makes her bleed yet doesn't put her down for the count.

Oddly enough, the only kids who he can actually seem to hit are the one with the healing factor and the one made of liquid metal. So since he's doing no real damage, that pretty much shatters the "maximum hurt" argument.

He really should have read the briefing on those kids properly, huh? Or is it just a side effect of his ability to never miss people who can't be hurt by whatever weapon he's using?

So, for the end of this storyline I would like to see:

1. X-23 vs. Daken

2. As I mentioned above, what has happened to Beast.

3. I would LOVE to see Xavier get free and deliver a mental bitchslap to Osborn for locking him up and to Mystique for impersonating him. Although this probably won't happen. *sigh*

Ugh, how many scenes do we need to see Emma and Scott in bed together?

And Beast, I thought you had higher standards than this. You couldn't wait during the day to tell the Scot and Em off? Or how about before they got into bed. Did you waited to this moment to be a furry cock-block? This is just lower than the Panther god nagging Storm about her bed life with her husband.
