In New Avengers Annual #3 we have the return of Jewel!


A new Inhumans mini.


And also announced was a Spider-Man and the Secret Wars mini

The Secret Wars from Spidey's point of view. We can see him beat up the X-men all over again.

New "Tales of the Pet Avengers" will appear on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, McCann and Sankovich said in response to a question about the characters.

That was during the first Brood Saga arc in Uncanny X-Men, when they were stranded in outer space. UXM 161 to 165-ish, IIRC.

I am too. Since there's no big event to promote I have no idea where the story could go. Same for Dark Avengers as well, after Utopia's done that is.

Jem threatened to sue (Actually, I wonder how close to truth that it, I know that they had a colleague of Jessica's reference liking her look as Jewel back in the day "..y'know, in a Jem and the Holograms sort of a way" in an early Young Avengers.

The Inhumans cover is awesome, definitely be getting that and the New Avengers annual. I'm torn on Deadpool. I really like him but I despise Hercules. I also think Deadpool is in danger of over saturation. I'll pass on the Secret Wars thing.

I loved Secret Wars as much as the next geek in the 1980s. Heck, I even played the mod in Marvel Superheroes RPG.

But I'd be happier if this was something new that isn't aimed at aging dorks like me. Nostalgia is a creative dead-end.

There were a few quotes from that article that perked my ears up./..

"Mighty" #30, page 10: "Keep your eyes out for it. It'll be scanned online and people will either go, that's stupid! or that's the greatest thing ever! I'll never write a better Hank Pym scene," Slott said.

Heheh... Could not help but laugh when I read that one. Not about the Pym scene really, but how they expect it to get scanned and commented on.

Emma Rios will be illustrating "Strange" by Mark Waid, which will follow the former Sorcerer Supreme, while "Doctor Voodoo" follows the current holder of that title, beginning in November, from Rick Remender.

You know what bugs me? That they're using Doctor as the title of the Sorcerer Supreme. Strange earned that because he was a surgeon, it seems the writers are forgetting that.

Keever briefly discussed "Nomad: Girl Without a World," which stars the female Bucky from "Heroes Reborn." "She thought she was sacrificing herself for the sake of her friends and her team, but instead she's been transported to a world in which the Captain America she knows has been assassinated and there's a new Cap running around that she has no idea who he is," the artist said. He added that the series would focus on her finding a place in the Marvel universe.

Man, it wold be nice if she found a place alongside Bucky and Cap after he gets his rez. I wonder if Steve will want the mantle back right away, or if he's going to want to take some time off. For that matter, there's still the little thing with him being a prisoner at the time. Did he get a posthumous pardon? I suppose if Norman's still in power there'll be no way you can keep him from his shield, which makes me think about Bucky. I'm sure he'd give it up willingly (unless the writer wants a brawl for the sake of having a brawl), but will he go back to Winter Soldier or adopt a whole new name completely.

He could have been, I don't know that character very well. But it certainly seems to me like they're passing the title over along with the mantle of Sorc. Supreme.

I'm hoping she'll find a place among the Young Avengers, because she was wicked cute with Eli in Cap 600 (I still totally ship Eli/Kate, but Kate needs to be reminded that she's not the only one who can see other people)

At the very least, it would help balance out the gender ratio on that team.

I hope Rikki gets a permanent place in the MU too. I only know her from Captain America 600, but I like her.

While I recognize that Jericho Drumm has a degree, I too disapprove of them adding "Doctor" to the title as if it comes with Sorcerer Supreme.

of course, I'm a very bitter Doctor Strange fan right now.

I think he was considered a villain then. It was partly because of his alliance with the X-Men that he started going straight.

Okay, I thought Secret Wars was awful when it first came out (it seemed like a cynical attempt to beat DC to the punch when they heard about Crisis on Infinite Earths in the works, except Crisis was way better). But the art for that Spidey with the heroes cover is awesome!. I'm totally diggin' the caricatures of Wolverine, Hawkeye and Nightcrawler especially, and the totally vacant "what am I doing here" look on the Hulk made me laugh.

Villains poster isn't as good, I don't think, since the personalities don't shine through as much. But what's up with Doom's hand? Did he break it bitchslapping KISS or what?
