We get some more background on Volt. Plus, Qubit reveals his big plan at last.

In this issue's flashback sequence, Volt rescues some rich guy from ransom kidnappers. Afterwards, the guy gives Volt a large sum of money by way of thanks.

Back in the days when there were four monthly Superman books, Waid, Morrison, Tom Peyer, and... was it Mark Millar?... were invited to pitch a proposal to become the new writers of the four titles. The proposal they came up with included erasing Superman's marriage, among a bunch of other stuff.

DC ended up not going with the proposal. Given both the financial and critical success of Morrison's All-Star Superman years later, they're probably kicking themselves over that decision.

I really, really hope they aren't. The relationship between Clark and Lois is the only reason I've ever picked up a Superman book.
