Two Batman pictures I was wondering if someone could identify the context for...

The first one if from Countdown, and is an Earth where Batman eventually went "underground" and killed villains rather than arrest them (Essentially he did the thing that Jason kept blaming "our" Batman for NOT doing; he killed the Joker). And IIRC that's Ultraman killing Batman.

Specifically, it was Earth-51, where Ray Palmer (of New Earth) was happily living his counterpart's life (after said counterpart died), and which was destroyed later in this conflict.

A new Earth-51 was born from it, and became an analogue to Kamandi's Earth AD.

The second one I'm not sure about, it could be from one of the recent Neal Adams reprint volumes.

Oddly, it looks sort of like Norm Breyfogle but the modern colouring style makes me think otherwise.

Actually, I don't think Batman actually managed to kill the Joker on that Earth, although he did kill. IIRC, it was actually Jason who did the honours, after seeing Batman get killed:

I thought he had, hence the "Stop coming back" to who he THINKS is the Joker, but was actually the Earth-3 Jokester... who Jason then killed... or somesuch... It was Countdown, I didn't really pay attention.

I thought Jokester got killed a bit later, because at one point they had a truce with him and Jason goes "You dont understand! On my Earth you killed me!" and the Jokester is all "Ohhhkaaay?" I've completely lost track of the plot in Countdown, but these little moments stick in my head for some reason.

The DCU has a wonderful dental program.

The last one *might* be from that comedy modern take on the old Green Lantern story where Hal's flogging power rings for $1. The bit at the end where Batman, Supes, Wonderwoman and the Flash are all in a plane laughing at the idea of *them* having power rings, then everybody goes somber at the thought of Lantern Wayne.

I'm pretty sure it was posted recently in pre-crisis scans daily.

Nah, the art for that's a bit newer looking. That panel has an older feel.

I think the aged look is from digital magnification and compression artefacts. I could be wrong of course.

No, that's not it. I remember the art; it was different.

I think this needs to be reposted, because I want to see that.

My question: What is on Wonder Woman's head in the third panel?

Hair. See Wonder Woman: Amazonia for reference.
