Re: One more thing...
Oh,I didn't think it was intentional either. To me it came across as just somebody thinking that announcing that you were going to adopt someone out of the blue is an "awww" moment (and apparently something for Dick to vaguely mention as a problem before they shake hands and decide on the network).
But what I mean is that, for me, by announcing that Bruce was going to adopt this character meant that when she went back to not ever being part of scenes like this I'd think how she wasn't there. If he hadn't done that I would just think of her as a character in the universe with relationships with different people. But now I've got reason, whenever the 3 sons are being intense, to think how Cass isn't there. And how it's not really that that's weird (since she never was integrated into the Wayne family) but the adoption. If other writers even remember it.
Seems like that's what I mostly hear about her since that story, in fact. Like in scenes like this where people say "What, is she just sitting upstairs by herself while they're having movie night?"...obviously there simply isn't anyone else living in the house. This whole year is a bit "the Batfamily reacts to the loss of Bruce!" and while Cass is involved in some of the stories she's obviously not written as part of that.
