Yet another jab to the fans of the Spider-Marriage from the "Brain Trust"...
...only this time it's from Hercules' "Assault on New Olympus" story.

This was written by Fred Van Lente, who I hopefully don't have to introduce given his history here.



Honestly. On one hand, the attitude is just, "Get over it!" and the on the other hand they like throwing salt on the wound with these little jabs to the fans.

To add to the other poster's comments, Quesada has flatly stated in interviews, "The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is ask myself how I can piss off fans today." When the interviewer said to Quesada, "You're joking, right?", Quesada said, no, he was completely serious, because if fans are pissed off, then they're talking about the books, and in Quesada's own words, "That's all that matters."

So, in other words, you're bending over backwards to give Marvel more credit than it deserves, because Marvel's own words have already proven you wrong.
