Re: n.b. re Gil Kane
I can see it that way. I hear Gil Kane had three ex-wives to support, and he was known for cranking work out.
In a way, it's a bit of of a Jack Chick comic; cartoons and an abstract philosophy.
The unscience fascinates me, because it's obvious that it's based on half-baked things that he heard and promptly forgot the boring parts. I really want to know -- had he overheard something about quantum theory and got this idea for spinning?
Moreover, since this is Silver Age Supes, he can move at the speed of light and faster so it's quite "plausible" that he could create a wormhole in a vacuum and teleport out of a bad situation.
This has made me re-evaluate the whole "Superboy punching reality" controversy. That really would be possible in the Silver Age.
