There weren't too many DJs that were household names worldwide and The Public House had considered itself lucky when they'd hosted Samantha Ronson for a night last month. When their normal DJ decided to take another Friday night off and they were able to use the fact that they knew someone who knew someone who owed someone a big favor to get Wendy Beckford aka Sonic aka DJ Sonic to spin for a night they pulled out all the stops to make the night a success. Not that they had to do much marketing. DJ Sonic was known for pulling in a sizable crowd based partly on her talent and partly on her other career. She had legitimately earned a reputation as a master of mixes over the years but that didn't stop the people who showed up hoping to see a superhero battle and the fate of the world decided on the dance floor.

More often than not the night ended up being about the music and this chilly February night seemed on target to be a success. There were rumors of snow but that didn't stop the line that formed to get inside or the dance floor from getting warm by the time Sonic took her place in the DJ booth. A steady mix of the hits immediately started to flow from the speakers as the crowd out on the floor and packed several deep around the bar found a multitude of ways to make this Friday night a memorable one.
