Who: Jeremiah & Wren
What: Wren bringing his special brand of dizzy to Jeremiah
Where: Near the lake
When: Early morning
Warnings/Rating: Wren warnings, TBD
It was getting colder in the mornings and Wren would find himself waking up shivering before the watery light of dawn started to sink in between the leaves. He'd started sleeping more during the day in the warmest spots he could find, ending up being awake at night even though he tried to sleep the worst of the cold away. Sometimes things went bump around him, but his glitching eye could never find anything amiss and he didn't have the imagination to be afraid of ghosts or monsters that might have sprung up in his mind; there was plenty of concrete things to be afraid of and Wren had met up against most of those. He wasn't scared of some noises, not when the animal or bird making them ended up passing by him half the time
He managed by burying himself in dead leaves and mast in the most sheltered areas he could find, lately beneath a large but thorny bush. He was left with cat-like scratches over his hands, arms and face, but at least he was warm down there. He'd also been gifted a large hoodie by a friendly 'neighbour' and that plus actual socks on his feet were doing a lot to keep him warm.
Nevertheless, the cold had him up and sniffling in the early morning and hunger provoked Wren out towards the lake to try and find some worms to eat in the softer, wet earth; the early bird and all that.
He was digging around in the soil and not having much luck in his pursuit with the morning chill having soaked into the ground, but startled when he turned at the sound of steps to find a dog staring right at him. He yelped and fell over backwards onto his ass and luckily not into the pond itself.
