With permission given, even if he ducked in a slightly sheepish manner because he'd already taken a bite or two, Wren wolfed the food down like he was starving, which, yeah. He almost choked stuffing food into his mouth as fast as possible, finishing quickly and going so far as to lick the plate clean.
His stomach made noises as it anticipated the mass of food that was on it's way down to it, and Wren watched Heart while also trying to puzzle out what as going into the hash - he didn't know what most of the ingredients were and thought the broccoli was some kind of weird grass.
He sipped at his warm drink and found the smooth, sweet taste bursting in his mouth making him sit back and put his hand over it. It tasted like the little solid chunks of sweetness that some of the kinder guards would slip to him now and again back at the facility, and the taste brought his mind back there for a moment. He sat, stuck in not-really flashbacks for a moment before Jeremiah broke him out of them by speaking to him again.
He looked surprised, both at the invitation and the fact that Jeremiah had no friends. "Everything is amazing, I would love to come and see you, I'll be your friend!" he said, heartfelt like most things he said were.
He sniffed curiously at the food that was pushed over to him next, reaching out to push the salt shaker a little, not sure what they were. He then gave the hash an exploratory poke, leery of the steam coming off it but eager to start eating.
"Oh, yes, it's big and tall and has nice roots like this-" he made a 'v' shape with his hands. "-and lots of leaves at the bottom and I snuggle in." He chattered. "But it's not as nice as your house!"
