Home plate was stolen from the NY Yankees. Suspect: very fast and wearing a red/white uniform with socks on the sleeves. Description fits Jacoby Ellsbury. Arrest will not be made any time soon.

Incidentally the foul ball Jeter hit would have been a homer in Yankee park. *winK*

He was only 27% owned from ESPN's fantasy baseball. I took him and everyone said oh, he won't do anything this year. Don't draft Lester. HA! A no hitter later (mad fracking points for me!) I laugh in the face of the doubters.

What a game! My sis (lives in Boston still) got to go to the game. Damn, I wish I had been there! Totally beats the grand slam I saw when they were here in Atlanta. Speaking of grand slams, the Boys of Summer sure are making it look easy by having two games in a row with a grand slam. That's how to hit it BABY!

Neep to post it, my wife snapped the greatest pic of my daughter (7 1/2 months old) wearing my green BoSox hat while watching the game with me today. Heh, that's my girl!

Saw Alex Cora in the dugout for the first time last night. Hopefully this means he'll be coming off the DL very soon. :)

But Manny, how about a homer already!

If we lived in Boston, we would have (probaly not been able to afford tickets to today's game *grins*) but we would have gotten the family together, grilled out hotdogs, hamburgers, veggies, had peanuts and popcorn, some Sam Adams and watched the game. Me, my husband, his sister Rachel, her husband Sean, their daughters, etc. We'd have been cheering and having a great time. *sigh* One day we'll be in Boston for opening day to spend a family event. Just like the way my hubby grew up. Maybe next year even. Actually we'll hopefully be in Cape Cod for his Aunt Arla's wedding and it's in October. We'll be able to go to Boston for a day. I'm going to bring back something for our friends and of Elora's going to get a bit of Red Sox to bring home. I'll have some great memories to put in her baby book.

A Red Sox Nation asylum! I see my husband, [info]brazen66 has found it, too. :) Great minds run together. I'm at work so we TiVo'ed the game and the ring presentation. Fenway's opening day! Duh, you would think our household would miss that?? NO WAY!
I can't tell Brazen, but I stole a peek at Yahoo Sports and saw they won 5-0. Yay! I also snagged that awesome pic of Matsuzaka. :)

I'm from South Boston and I've been a Red Sox fan since as far back as I can remember. My 6 month old baby even has a pink Red Sox outfit my sister gave us. I live in GA with my wife and little girl so I pay for the baseball package on Direct TV every year so I don't miss a game. BoSox all the way baby!

I asked my wife to marry during the playoffs of 2004. It was October 13, 2004. They made history and broke the curse that year. Then in 2007, October was again made magic as my wife gave birth to our baby girl, Elora and the magical Red Sox won the World Series yet again. Just two more of the happiest memories of my life that the Red Sox have been a part of.

No matter what happened all through the years I never lost the faith. Now, when I'm married to my girl and I have a beautiful kid, well, they were there for each milestone. Though I live hundreds of miles away those Sox have never truly let me down.

My wife having been a long time baseball fan (she's from Washington DC) had never been to a real baseball game. She had only seen it on TV. I took her to her first game on July 3, 2004 when the Sox played the Braves in Atlanta. She not only saw one helluva game but she saw her first grand slam! What a night.

I can't believe this community is here! Wicked Awesome!
