Justin raised an eyebrow, wondering what his mom was asking that she didn't think she could ask anyone else. "Anything I should know?"

Jennifer smiled. "The Gay and Lesbian Center is throwing a charity gala and Tucker bought us tickets, but I don't have anything to wear."

"And somehow mother-in-law thinks I know." Brian said with his tongue in his cheek.

"What's the theme?" Justin asked.

Jennifer blushed a little and Brian smirked. "They're calling it the Leather Masquerade."

Justin laughed while blushing. "Ah. Debbie didn't know?"

Jennifer smiled. "I was afraid she would point me toward a lesbian shop."

"Thought you were a bit more open minded these days, Jennifer."

"Can you help me or not?"

Justin cleared his throat. "And on that note, I'm leaving you to it. I do not want to hear about my mom asking where to buy leather."

Jennifer's laugh followed him into the bedroom where he tried to shake off the images trying to crowd in.

Summary: Post S5 in an AU where there is no JR (just purely because it simplified the plot). Something has happened in Toronto and Brian gets a phone call that sends him into action.
Warnings: I don’t like the Munchers - in fact, by the end of S5 I detested them. This fic reflects that. Also, I have shamelessly claimed artistic licence in terms of the timeline, of the legalities, and most of all, in terms of Laurent’s actions at the end of the story. To those who work in the child welfare field, my deepest apologies. I know what he does is extremely unprofessional, unrealistic, etc, but it wound up the story nicely, so I went ahead with it anyway. Mea Culpa.
