QUIDDITCH MATCH 3!

Snow! Always considered one of the worst weather conditions for Quidditch, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were fortunate enough to have a fresh downfall start during the game! Talk about impossible to see the Snitch!

But right from the start of the game it became apparent that the Snitch needed to be the least of Gryffindor's concerns. Ravenclaw were straight out for the Quaffle. Morag MacDougal blocked almost every shot Gryffindor could make whilst the goals just kept going for Ravenclaw, shooting them ahead of Gryffindor before the first 30 minute mark was met.

This Quidditch game was not without its share of rule-breaking however. After MacDougal was hit by and unforeseen bludger, in a what may have been a display of bumphing, Lisa Turpin appeared to lose her temper with the referee for not calling a foul during the match and aimed a Bludger directly at Coach Angelina Johnson. It seemed a two-edged sword however, because shortly after she was forced to land with a sprained wrist.

But if one thing can be said, it is that Ginny Weasley's seeking skills are top-notch. Despite heavy snow-fall she located the snitch after only 45 minutes of gameplay. But was it enough to save the game from Ravenclaw's chasers?

QUIDDITCH RESULTS!

With moods low since the quarantine instilled, a good Quidditch match was just what the doctor ordered. The crowds were surging with both students and the trapped alumni! A clear, brisk autumn day welcomed the players of Ravenclaw and Slytherin, and the game was off to a quick start with Ravenclaw scoring four times before Slytherin could get the ball anywhere near the Ravenclaw end of the field.

But the game turned with urging from the Slytherin captain Constantine Rivers, and Slytherin quickly caught up, using an offensive strategy that clearly displayed their superior beaters Sorin Radoslav and Millicent Bulstrode. The two teams remained neck and neck until Slytherin began to pull ahead. The game was leaving everyone on the edge of their seats!

It finally ended with a terrific catch of the golden snitch, leaving a clear winner...

QUIDDITCH RESULTS

Though it was a cloudy day there was nothing dismal about the crowd today down at the Quidditch Pitch! Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were out in full force to support their teams, along with Ravenclaw and Slytherin checking out the competition.

The game took off to a huge start, the teams quickly shaking off the dust of inactivity! The quaffle zoomed back and forth almost faster than the eye could keep up! Both teams seemed evenly matched, the scores racking up evenly before Romilda Vane took a bludger to the elbow! Her broken arm took her out of the game and left Gryffindor a chaser down! Hufflepuff began to pull ahead.

But as we know, one of the most deciding factors of a game is who catches the snitch! The match lasted well over an hour, without anyone even catchinig a whiff of the elusive ball. But then it was spotted, at almost at the same time by both seekers. It was a race to see who could get there first.

A terrific catch by Ginny Weasley, snatching the it just before Megan Jones could reach! But the Snitch is only worth 150 points...
