Snow! Always considered one of the worst weather conditions for Quidditch, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were fortunate enough to have a fresh downfall start during the game! Talk about impossible to see the Snitch!
But right from the start of the game it became apparent that the Snitch needed to be the least of Gryffindor's concerns. Ravenclaw were straight out for the Quaffle. Morag MacDougal blocked almost every shot Gryffindor could make whilst the goals just kept going for Ravenclaw, shooting them ahead of Gryffindor before the first 30 minute mark was met.
This Quidditch game was not without its share of rule-breaking however. After MacDougal was hit by and unforeseen bludger, in a what may have been a display of bumphing, Lisa Turpin appeared to lose her temper with the referee for not calling a foul during the match and aimed a Bludger directly at Coach Angelina Johnson. It seemed a two-edged sword however, because shortly after she was forced to land with a sprained wrist.
But if one thing can be said, it is that Ginny Weasley's seeking skills are top-notch. Despite heavy snow-fall she located the snitch after only 45 minutes of gameplay. But was it enough to save the game from Ravenclaw's chasers?
