[11.02.12, 11a] pking Hey guys! It's Katie, and I know I dropped all my characters here, but it was because I lost my muses for all of them. BUT, I did want to bring someone fresh and new into the game, though not before I saw what lines needed filling. So! Does someone need family, friends, an ex, or something specific? I'm looking towards a female, probably late twenties, early thirties, but I'll hear anything. Face suggestions, too, but I'm usually picky so I'll probably end up discussing those. Let me know! [10.09.12, 11p] lmkc It's late for me, but before I pass out completely, I wanted to get this girl's application in and offer her up for lines. This is Lennox, but she's pretty widely known as Leni. She's 22, from East Texas, a fitness instructor/personal trainer and maybe a little bit of a wild card. By that, I mean that her entire reason for being here? She came with her family on a vacation over the summer and decided she liked it a little too much. Yes, she's going from guest to employee. It's weird and she knows it. [08.26.12, 1a] dje This is Danielle aka Dani. She's a thirty year old native from Boston. As a nurse, she moved around a lot working in different states as well as a resort in Mexico. Most of the time she made her best friend teluca come with. The last move was to Chicago with her boyfriend, leaving Tony behind. She was living there till she found out that he gave her engagement ring to someone else, someone he had been seeing behind her back for longer than she'd like to admit. Tony convinced her to head to Australia. It didn't take long for her to agree, knowing a fresh start is what she needs. She has been at the resort for just under a month so new friends, coworkers, etc would be great. She is a very kind, out going person. When meeting new people, she will push aside her personal misery to put on her happy face. The girl cares about people and would do anything she can to help others. She'll also need someone to show her the ropes, take her out sight seeing and almost force her to let loose, proving it's okay to have a good time. 9 comment

[08.24.12, 10a] reibel I should have done this the other day, but to say this week has been bananas would be an understatement, so I'm doing it now before I cave to the craving and end up in the kitchen making red velvet truffles, and she'll introduce herself to the rest of the class later this evening. But before that, I thought I'd open her up for lines if anyone's interested. New to the game is this little walking contradiction, Reina. She's twenty-six, a native of Seattle, Washington, a night owl, and now, a new night auditor for the resort. She usually has this whole loud and outspoken (and dumb) party girl reputation, but in truth, she's kind of a rather smart (as in former Mensa member, though you'd never get her to admit she was) bookworm with a talent for numbers (and playing the drums, but that has nothing to do with her work!). She's extremely curious and has no problem asking questions if there's something she thinks she needs to know, even if it annoys the person she's asking. She's a bit flirty, and is completely gender-blind in her attraction. She retains information like a sponge, both useful and useless, switches "theme songs" like she changes clothes (currently, she's loving "Higher" by the Saturdays), will run screaming from that "Call Me Maybe" song, and is a serious cartoon fanatic. She also makes a mean cosmo cupcake. I'm sure there's something that may or may not be important I'm forgetting, so her bio is here. [08.12.12, 11a] carousse Hey guys! So, I'm thinking of bringing in my Nina Dobrev pb and figured I'd throw her out there to see if anyone would be interested in lines with her! Chelan is a 25 year old Louisianan (from Baton Rouge, specifically), who can't really be pegged into any one category (at least, not for long), except maybe 'fun.' She's free-spirited, flirty, the life of the party .. essentially, the kind of person who can strike up a random conversation with anyone. She really has no shame, and doesn't care about what the majority of the world thinks about her. And Chel is equal opportunity when it comes to the people she shows a romantic/sexual interest in. Underneath her love for doing wild and crazy things, Chel is actually extremely intelligent. As much as she can talk about the frivolous things, she also loves philosophical conversations. She's deeply attuned to various causes, ranging from environmental to political, and she holds a B.S. in Biology and MBA in Marketing. She's also a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, and a green belt in Judo, both of which she started as a child. She loves yoga, running, pretty much anything she can do to stay in shape (which is a good thing, because she eats a LOT, haha). I don't really know how else to describe her, haha. She's just a fun character, kind of breaks a lot of the taboos/stereotypes. Her bio can be found here, although I'm probably going to revamp it a little to account for the fact that at least two of her three best friends won't be able to make it to the island. :[ Sadness. [08.09.12, 11p] housen This is Angela Van Housen, a very spoiled rich girl with a history of drug abuse, blackmail and some minor collegiate prostitution. She was sent to the island to get her act together and I'm flirting with the idea that she has since found God and has done a complete 180 (though not everybody buys it). I had her for a while at luxurymod when it was open the first time around so this would be a continuation of the same character for those that know her. Thoughts? Lines? Things are slowing down a little bit, my final is today and my mom is doing much better, so I'm able to start getting thrown back into things here. [07.23.12, 6p] kellyp Hey! I'm hoping to bring this girl into the comm. Her name is Kelly Price and she is played by the gorgeous Jessica Biel. Kelly is a 30 year old New York native. She didn't have the best childhood since her father left when she was just three years old and her mother was always more interested in getting her next fix than she was in being a mom. At the age of 18, she moved away from her mother. To make a long story short... She met teluca while living in Mass. They became best friends and traveled around a little together. After living in Mexico for a few years, she ended up moving to London to be with a man that managed to sweep her off her feet. After living in London with him for awhile and realizing that it wasn't really what she wanted, she ended things with him and is now moving to Australia to work at the resort. Kelly will be a scuba diving instructor. She loves keeping fit, so she'll be seen at the gym often. Kelly also loves having a good time. She makes friends pretty quickly and is very loyal to them. In the end, she sees her close friends more as family than as just her friends. Kelly will be fairly new to town, but I'd love to get her some lines! 8 comment

[07.18.12, 11p] bpdalton [ mood | amused ] Hi there and hello everyone. I'm Jackie and I bring you Mr. Ben Dalton (bpdalton) and Alex Valentine (alexvalentine). Ben is the 45-year-old hotel manager who is in a relationship with abbycross. He's got quite a bit of experience in managing luxury hotels and loves what he does; he also loves making life difficult for those who work directly for him (sorry!). In a nut shell, he's shallow, stubborn, and sarcastic, but has the potential to turn on the charm when he feels like. His 3 ex-wives would disagree, but Ben likes to think he's a charmer. Alex is 25 years old and ridiculous. He's loud, is a Golden Girls aficionado, wears insanely colored/patterned clothing, and loves to party. If anyone's looking for someone to go out with, Alex will be all over it in a hot minute. He's got a bit of sad-ish history where his family is concerned, but that's something he doesn't talk about it and keeps things light and lively. He traveled around with his BFF walke for a bit before returning to the resort life. And, before I forget, Alex is also the outdoor theatre operator! I'd definitely love to work out lines with anyone and everyone! Can't wait to start playing with you all!! 19 comment

[07.18.12, 8p] evey Hey guys! So, I was meaning to bring her a little over a week ago but my computer decided to crash. Now, I have it back and I am going to get a move on with her once again. Her name is Sabrina Ortiz, she's twenty-seven years old and originally from Hawaii. She moved there when she was very young with a military family and she's been dancing about that long. I would imagine that even though she's the instructor, maybe she does perform in some shows from time to time. She's trained in just about anything, but ballroom is her primary. Since Zumba is what's really popular now, I'm assuming she probably teaches those classes as well. As far as her personality, she's very outgoing and bubbly. She'll be the kind of person to talk to a complete stranger without even thinking about it. She's also a little on the daring side, so she's always the first one to jump into things that most people would consider crazy. I know I had lines with some of you and I still want them! So, comment here. I'd also like to find a best friend for her since the one I had didn't end up applying. They would have met on the plane to the island. Thanks guys! 8 comment

[07.14.12, 7p] bellac Hey everyone! This is definitely a few days overdue, but I have a few minutes to breathe and think now, so here we go! I currently have Bella (here), 26, a Nurse Practitioner who just arrived on the island. She's actually worked with a large variety of the staff here before, when they all worked in the Seychelles. For those that don't know Bella yet, though, she's an optimist/idealist, very friendly, and a die-hard music junkie. Despite her peppiness, she's very down to earth and easygoing, and she's definitely matured a great deal in the last couple of years. She's good friends with kymoran and bergan, and is currently dating dberg. Bells is the kind of person who will try almost anything once, and has a wonderful sense of adventure. I'd love to pick up lines with people she would have known two years ago, and new people alike! Friends are always great, a workout buddy would be fantastic, too. People to do karaoke with her, get drunk, etc. etc. I'm also working on bringing in emryan, a 35 year old former Marine sniper who's best friends with dehill, and friendly with teluca. He's either going to be in Security, orrrr .. he might still swing towards Helicopter tour guide, I haven't figured that part out yet. Eric is a good guy, occasionally too serious, and he can be a bit arrogant and abrasive sometimes. He's still very much a Marine at heart, despite the fact that he left after his second tour of service. After he left the Marines, he joined a local police force in his hometown, but the things he'd done and seen had really changed him, so he's coming to the island for a break. I'm going to be looking for someone to play Anna Torv as his fiancee, but I'll also be looking for other lines as well! Finally, I'll be bringing in camgray, who's the fiancee of jagrey. She's a bit nerdy (or, really nerdy), and is Mensa smart. Cam is actually a pretty quiet person, very driven and passionate about knowledge. She's been on the island for some time, and has taken a great joy in being able to learn things about the area and then give lectures on them. She's less defined as the other two right now, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know! 7 comment

[07.13.12, 2p] s_collins so i scarcely missed adds, *sigh*, but i would still love to establish lines! my character is sabatina (sabs or tina) collins. she's 22 years old and hopefully a bartender (food & beverages staff). she's extremely vocal in every sense of the word and coupled with her belligerent nature, she's never lived in concord with authority figures. her strong desire for danger and near detrimental sense of curiosity didn't help her weak rapport with them either. regardless of her abrasive character, she's actually quite forthcoming. she loves talking, especially when a subject of passion transpires. but while she loves to talk, she also loves to listen just as much. she was born and predominantly raised in new york city. her father was involved in the utilization and dealing of illicit drugs and sabatina was sort of dragged into that without much of a say. though, in the summer of 2006 things took a drastic turn when her father overdosed and was killed. she found herself under the care of her godparents and they moved to australia. they laboriously worked to calm her destructive nature, and they did a great deal, but her restlessness never truly abated. accordingly, she decided that college wasn't her thing and received a bartending license at eighteen. because of inadequate ownership of the sports bar she worked at, she found herself attaining a position at the resort and voila, here she is! i'd love to get some connections! friends, enemies, etc. nearly anything is fair game! 2 comment

[07.10.12, 9p] kymoran Hello there! This here is Kyle Moran, a 28 year old nurse practitioner. She will literally just be arriving on the island as the game opens. Originally, she's from New Canaan, Connecticut, but went to NYU and has bounced around from cruise ships to islands working as a nurse. When she left the last island where she worked, she relocated to Philly to go for her Masters and is now an NP specializing in Family Care. Kyle is a stubborn, messy, competitive, often bitchy, eating and drinking machine who is a die-hard Yankee fan and tends to have crazy anger management issues. She's a bit boy crazy and has always been a massive flirt who has been known to dabble in one night stands, but for the past few years while in Philly, she's worked on improving herself. Part of this is her new-found love of running. She's always been athletic, but long-distance running was something she had to push herself with and she has participated in quite a few races. I'd love a running partner for her! She knows a few people on the island, some friends, some acquaintances and her ex-boyfriend, Jacob, who she never quite got over, so Kyle may regress quite a bit when she sees him and finds out all of his recent and not-so-recent activities. I'd love some new lines and I love random threads and interactions with different characters! 28 comment
