[info]x_mod in [info]ooc_2012

So... the status is!

It seems we still have a decent number of players still interested, or at least considering sticking around. This is both good and bad news, as it seems worth it to still give it a shot, but would suck if effort is put into it and it still fizzles.

Ben officially leaving is obviously a big issue for me, as he has long been the one to pick up the mod-slack when work called me away, and work is about to call me away a lot more often. ...a lot more often. So, here's how I see things from where I stand. ...or sit as the case may be.

I need to be, at best, a co-mod. I believe the game needs, and deserves, a mod who can dedicate more time, thought and energy than I am currently capable of doing.
Some new, big, over-arching plot needs to be established, to give both current and potential future players a 'road map' of where things are headed.
Characters and teams in general need to be assessed and things re-structured in order to give the best interaction possible.

Modding has been a pleasure and a joy, no question, but times are changing and I simply cannot do it as I have before. First step, from my point of view, would be to find a person or persons willing to step up and mod the game. I'll be happy to help with what time I have, to offer suggestions and guidance from my experience. Once that whole issue is settled and the torch has been passed, we can discuss more.
