Why do we need a cure...
Characters: Cyclops and Wolverine with A lot of other NPCs
Setting: New York City, SHIELD Bunker
Content: Possible Language and Lengthy Speeches.
Summary: Scott was granted access to a SHIELD Seminar showing the use of a prototype cure for Mutation. He took Logan as back up.
Scott Summers knew a bad idea when he heard it. When he was passed along the location and clearance for a SHIELD Seminar on a mutant cure, he knew it was a bad idea before he even decided to go. Still, he need to know exactly what they were dealing with.
In the days leading up, he had asked Logan to accompany him in case things took a turn for the worse. There was no one better to have his back then a short hairy guy with six claws. As they entered the old bunker, he looked around almost in confusion. There was nothing on the walls. It looked like a cleaned out airplane hangar. Still, in the middle was a stage with people crowded around in wait.
There wasn't a way to know if the people were reporters, or scientists, or even military. From looking, they looked mostly normal. Scott had wore a black suit with a red tie. He wasn't sure how casual this meeting would be, but he didn't wanna wear his battle suit. Might give him away.
Looking through the red ruby quartz sunglasses, he scanned the crowd. No one stood out, but he didn't think the big wigs were here yet. As they approached the crowd, he turned to look at Logan with a slight smirk on his face.
"So, these are the guys who wanna fix all our problems, Huh? Let's split up. If one of us gets into trouble, the other has a better chance at helping if they aren't close."
Scott knew that if someone noticed him, Wolverine was deadlier from an unknown area. Stepping away from him, he moved into the crowd waiting for the speech to begin. He was worried about this, because he knew where it would go. If they were using a cure for now, how long before some wacko decided it was mandatory?
They were here to gather intel. Nothing more.
