I know you've always been out of your head...
Characters: Wanda, Pietro, Tony, Cap, Nick, NPCXavier, Later Speed, multiple threads
Setting: Hospital in NYC
Content: Nick Fury. Swearing maybe? Who knows. I don't. Yet.
Summary: Xavier fixes Wanda and she comes out of a coma.
The doctor was nervous. He was nervous around these new visitors, even if he recognized him, and he was nervous about the bald man in the wheelchair who had been sitting with his eyes closed by the patient's side for the last two hours. Already the nurses had had to turn away an angry British man who'd strolled into the patient's room and lit a cigarette. It had been a harrowing day.
"So, the hallucinates in her system still don't account for the coma," he explained, reading from her chart. He looked around at the men. The Avengers. How unnerving. He wanted to leave. As though he'd read his thoughts the silent bald man opened his eyes and spoke. The doctor nearly jumped out of his skin.
"Her coma is brought on by severe emotional trauma and the only way to bring her out of it is to piece her back together on the psychic plane," Xavier announced to the room at large, though his amused gaze was on the physician.
"Ohkay," the doctor shook his head skeptically and shrugged, "I'll uh, leave you, then," he muttered and used this opportunity to make his escape.
Xavier beamed benignly at his audience when the medical man departed and finished his explanation, his smile quickly becoming a frown of concern. "I've gone into her mind and seen exactly what left her in this state. It is, disturbing to say the least. It caused her to split herself into facets of her personality and I have spent hours making her whole again. I must warn you, before I allow her to awaken, that she may react...strangely to all of you." For a moment Xavier's eyes flickered to Fury and then away. He turned back to Wanda's prone form and closed his eyes once more to begin the process of returning her to consciousness.
