Mission 006
Characters: Wicked, Wiccan, the Scarlet Witch, Druid and Dr. Strange
Setting: The shore of the Dead Sea, Israel
Content: Magic!
Summary: Mission 006 is, psyche!, freeform. For a bit. Get to know each other, hang out, be groovy. When all of the participants tell me that they're sick of each other, it will be turn-based.
Just as announced, without any hiccups or congested airports to deal with and at a civil hour (that was, just after lunch time, by the clocks in New York, and hopefully a light lunch at that), the selected few travelers were quite suddenly no longer where they thought they were. With careful precision, they were plucked from their various homes and tasks and deposited without much fanfare on a beach where the sun was setting in the distance and casting a rich, twilight glow across the flat water. It lapped ever so gently at the sand, barely making a plip plip plip sound, and that was all. In fact, there were no other sounds. There was a highway, set back from the beach, but it was silent. The only cars were parked along it, belonging, presumably, to the people scattered along the sand like large and hairy seashells, but they didn't make a sound, either. Some of them were dressed in the bikinis and surf trunks that the Western visitors would recognize as appropriate for a beach visit, and had towels and picnic baskets and all of the fun beach visit accessories, but many were more dressed and in fact fully covered with hijab and sport coats. Whatever they were wearing, not one of them made a move. They were motionless shells without the wake of the sea. Even a bird in the sky hung suspended as if by a wire, forgotten by its puppeteer as all concentration was given to make that plip plip plip of the water subtle and believable in this strange, still tableau.
The party arrived together, all at once, and stood on the sand, looking out at the sea. Nothing moved, and the bird didn't even greet them. The trees stood undisturbed by any breeze. No one asked to check their luggage.
