This was a good job for the new blood and the invalid. All they really had to do was sit back and make sure they didn't run into anything, which was enough of a challenge for them to keep them engaged but not exactly a work-out. The biggest challenge, truly, was co-existing in this cramped space without Daisy murdering all of them and finishing the mission by herself. They hadn't been there for too, crazy sailor long-- they launched the submarine from Nacala Porto into the Mozambique channel and caught a current quite directly around the island and towards Genosha, which took about ten hours and a solid exploration of all of the depths of Daisy's playlist. They kept radio contact limited to emergencies like a major hull breach or giant squid attack, which they had managed to avoid thus far. It was dark under the water, though, and the serenity of it was shattered by the noise inside the sub cabin, which Daisy could at least thank for a good excuse, layered with her earbuds, to 'not hear' whenever one or both of the other two thought about being annoying. Especially when Wicked entertained herself with her creepy fucking ghosts. Daisy buried her face in her arms, hoping to avoid seeing another one for a good long while so that maybe she could have a good night's sleep on the way back.
It wasn't as dark when they reached their destination in the shallower waters surrounding Genosha, clear as they were even this deep down and glittering with the new morning sun. Through the periscope, Daisy could even see brightly coloured fish wander by, and, if they were going in the right direction, watch them swim for what seemed like miles away over the white sand. It wasn't so bad here. Bringing herself back inside and looking around the navigation deck, glancing first at the schematics of the island the the supposed network of tunnels that ran under the mansion, then at the sonar and the empty water all around them. It must have been kind of cold. "Don't touch my stuff," was her last instruction to her barebones team before she left the deck to get suited up. This wasn't exactly an exact science and she was touchy enough about the possible outcome. Like the orphans, Daisy hadn't signed up to murder innocent people. She had to trust that Nick knew what he was doing when he sent her to demolish part of a sovereign state.
