WHO: Kastra Dumbledore and Regulus Black
WHERE: Slytherin Common Room at first, then out for some flying.
WHEN: Saturday Evening
WHAT: Night flying.
RATING: Low
STATUS: Incomplete
Running a brush through her hair, Kastra glanced in the mirror. She wasn't sure what she was looking for by doing so - she had never been one to spend much time on her appearance, as she had more important matters to focus her energy on - but it seemed appropriate. After a moment of thought, she decided to pull her hair back, using a thin hair tie to hold it in place. As she planned on spending the evening flying, keeping her hair out of her face would probably be best.
Flying, of all things. How she had managed to agree to take an evening off from the her research and her brooding - something she had been doing often since finding out about the assassination attempt on her father - to fly was beyond her. She had never been one to find flying relaxing or appealing, and using a broom had never come naturally to her. If necessary, she could fly, but it wasn't something she chose to do for fun. However, she supposed there was some appeal in flying if she didn't have to be the one in control of the broom, which would be the case that evening. Regulus Black had invited her to fly with him for the evening, with the promise of handling the broom.
Kastra agreed tentatively, unsure whether or not she would follow through with the plan. It was true that she had come to find Regulus to be decent company over the past couple of weeks. He had wit and intellect, both of which Kastra enjoyed in a companion. But she was unaccustomed to being truly befriended to her peers. Usually, she kept company with adults and found them to be easier to get along with than her fellow students. And of course there was the complication of her mission. She couldn't allow herself to get too distracted...then again, Kastra still wasn't sure what the fate of that mission would be. Each day that went by without word of her father's condition left her anxious and more confused about what to do. Many times, she had considered spelling out the truth for her papa, if only he'd allow her to go home, or at least update her on her father's condition...but if nothing else, Kastra's pride kept her strong. The last thing she wanted to do was go begging to her papa; she was still very angry with him.
And so she had decided that she deserved a break for an evening, and had prepared herself for the meeting with Regulus. He was somehow able to keep her mind off of the mess of her personal life, and she enjoyed his company for that reason. She headed to the common room, scanning it for Regulus as she entered.
