Who: Will Scarlet, Danielle Metzger
When: Friday, afternoon-ish
What: Random running-ins and getting acquainted
Where: Farmers market
Warnings: Probably not
It had been an absolutely beautiful day and Will, being the type to be out and getting into all sorts of shenanigans, had spent much of his day in the park. That naturally included suckering the richer lot out of a couple hundred dollars and giving it to the homeless people he happened to run into. After his adventures in the park he made his way to a nearby farmers market he had overheard an elderly couple talking about. He was in need of nourishment after such a long day of helping those who needed help.
He had found a lovely apple stand, eyeing the red delicious with interest. He only wanted one; he didn't need an entire basket. While the attendant spoke with another customer Will picked up a particularly juicy looking apple. Red was his favorite color. He also happened to believe he looked rather dashing in red. He tossed the apple in the air and caught it before he breathed on it and rubbed it on his sleeve. "How much for just the one?" he asked the man once the other customer had left with her own basket. "Seventy-five cents," replied the man. Will offered a boyish smile and set out ten dollars on the table. "Keep the change," he said before strolling away, hearing the man call out thank you! He fully believed in helping others, and in Will's mind those who offered decent prices for their crop were worthy of that help. So he had left a generous tip.
He took a bite of his apple, watching those around him. His eyes eventually settled on a lovely little brunette woman. Her face was familiar somehow, but he couldn't quite place her. Surely he hadn't pursued her before and failed? He watched this pretty girl for a few minutes, all the while enjoying his apple, trying to figure out where he had seen her face. It wasn't the same girl who had commented on pick up lines. This was someone else and for a moment he thought he had a little snippet of a conversation, and that quickly slipped away. He tossed the apple core into a nearby trashcan and strolled over to the booth the young woman was at, pretending to admire the merchandise. "Absolutely beautiful day, isn't it?" he asked as he continued to look around, though not really paying any attention to the items.
