WHO: Greta & Open to Hati and/or Sköll
WHEN: Wednesday night
WHERE: The woods
WHAT: When Greta said she wasn't interested in Hati she was lying. Just in case that wasn't clear before.
WARNINGS: creepiness? tba
Hati had come to her apartment and Greta had pulled a knife on him. It had been a stupid action but at the time it seemed like all she could do. She couldn't even trust herself to not go near Hati. She still didn't know what the hell was wrong with her or what was making her act this way. She'd always been so sensible but nothing about her time with Hati showed that.
Yet here she was, back at the woods where she'd first met Hati, where she'd come to find him every other time. Beneath her red hoodie Greta was still dressed in her work uniform, the hood up over her hair still.
She parked her car and then walked over to the woods, looking up at the dark trees. She didn't know if Hati was even around but this was the only way she could think to see him.

Little Red hadn't been on Hati's mind too much lately. He was far too pleased with having his brother and Moon. Having Sköll near was having a part of him back. Nightly they called for their Alpha, and he knew soon their father would hear them.
So when he smelled her at the edge of his territory he was reminded of her. He'd told Sköll about the Little Red, how she reminded him so of the tale, and when he set off on two legs to find her he figured Sköll would follow. After all, there was only one being Hati would never share with his brother.
With a smile he appeared out of the dark trees, leaning down to look into her eyes and grin, "Little Red. Told you."

Skoll had been prowling the woods in wolf form, getting the feel of the land and learning where everything was. He was thinking of going back to find Hati, when he heard a car door slam, followed by footsteps.
It was a young woman dressed in a red hood, quickly followed by a thought-could this possibly be the Little Red Hati had told him about?
He made his way out of the trees, going back to human form and calling a greeting out to his brother.

Greta's expression when Hati stepped out was of wariness mixed with a desire she couldn't quiet hide. She'd opened her mouth to say something (anything) but then there was another man and Greta turned her attention to him in confusion. "Who are you?" she asked, looking between them both.

When his brother appeared he smiled at him, switching to his native tongue. Norse was so much easier. "This is Little Red. Right out of the tale." He grinned, before looking to the girl. "He's my brother." He said, this time in English. They didn't resemble one another very much, but still.
"I've told him much of you Little Red." He extended his hand to her, "he likes to run too."

"The very spitting image," Skoll agreed in their mother tongue. "Mortal, yes?"
"That he has," he said to Greta. "I'm Sköll. And he knows me so well, running is what I do. Been doing it for a long time."

She didn't like the way they spoke to each other in a way she couldn't understand, and she didn't like that there were two of these men now. Greta found herself taking an unstable step backwards from Sköll. There was something about him, just as there was something about Hati. Neither of them were safe, was what everything inside her screamed. This wasn't safe.
But that's why she'd come looking for Hati, wasn't it? Because he was something outside of her safety.
"I... shouldn't have come here," Greta whispered, licking her lips nervously.

He shrugged, "I don't know." He glanced to his brother, finding it easier to talk in the language of their country, although he'd always prefer talking in the language of wolf. "Smell her, taste her. Mortal, yes. But different. I think she is Little Red." and it kind of made sense to Hati. If he was here, why not people from a book?
"For forever," he joked in return. "He's slower then me though. Little runt." He glanced to Greta and raised an eyebrow, "Little Red, you always say that. And then you run for Hati and let him catch you. Come now, you like being chased. And I promise I won't let brother bite too hard." He stepped closer and smiled at her, "you didn't come here to say no."

"Like in the story?" Sköll asked, quirking an eyebrow. "Like 'my, what big teeth you have'?" He couldn't help but laugh a little, it was such a bad joke. But he did as Hati suggested, and sniffed the air. "Smells human, but...not human, too. Odd."
"Forever," he agreed. "Not slower than you, I just follow. Runt, hmph. I'll show you runt."
He grinned. "More like a nip than a bite."

Greta found herself looking between the two of them quickly. She kept finding herself out of her depth and now there were two of these men and even if she ran- well, what then? Wasn't it bad enough letting Hati touch her the way she did? Would she do that with this new brother as well?
She shivered though at Sköll's comment and forced herself to look at Hati helplessly. "What do you want from me?" Greta whispered, pulling down her good.

"Hm," he agreed with his brother, "how do you think I found her? She fell for it even. Strangest girl." He chuckled, switching back to English. "You can try. I will beat you." He stepped to Greta's side as she pulled her hood down, "run Little Red. Run and catch. Always that." He smiled to her, then his brother. "Why else did you come? The game's not changed."

Sköll lifted one shoulder in an easy shrug. "No idea," he said. "For all I know, it happened just like the story. Though you're right, strange."
He continued in English, "Ha! We'll see about that."
"To chase is what we do. It's who we are," he said.

Greta looked at Sköll, her eyes locked on his. She could tell that these two were brothers because there was something very wrong with the both of them. There was something animal behind his eyes that gave Greta the same fear.
But Greta was here now and she undid the zip on the jacket and looked over at Hati. You're going to kill me one day, she thought at him but said nothing.
And then, because it was why she'd come here, she ran.

With a grin he walked to his brother, playfully swiping at him. He watched Greta until she ran and chuckled glancing to his brother, "two legs for now. Lasts longer that way." He winked and set off after Greta, not even trying and yet still keeping pace with her.

Skoll batted at him, dodging the swipe with a smile. He followed Greta's flight into the woods. Finally, a chase. He hadn't had one of those in such a long time.
"Sounds good to me," he said, taking off after Hati into the dark trees.

Greta was getting better at this. She was getting quicker and learning to navigate through the darkness of the woods without hurting herself as much.
Greta thought that this was something she shouldn't have had to learn.
Behind her she could hear the footfalls of not just Hati but his brother as well, and she knew that of all the recent very stupid things she had done this was the most stupid of them all. Why did she like this fear of being chased? Why did the sheer terror of Hati make her keep coming back even though it made her feel sick right down into her bones?
She was tiring out now, pressing her hand into her side and finding her last burst of speed. But still she could hear them right behind her and there was no chance any more to evade them.

She was getting better, but not nearly good enough. Few ever were. He'd always catch what he wanted, and now he wanted this. When she slowed, then sped up again he grinned and glanced to his brother, speaking without words to corner this little prize from opposite sides.

Skoll nodded and veered off to one side, penning Greta in. She ran pretty well for a human, but running and chasing was in his blood, so right now, he was in his element. But he made no further move toward her, not yet, waiting on Hati's signal.

Greta heard the way they were trapping her, that they were on either side now, and she swore under her breath, hair whipping across her face as she spun in the darkness to try and see them.
She'd stopped running, because she was sure now that whichever direction she went, one of them would be there. She made an attempt to dart around one of trees and change her path, but how could she know if she wasn't running right towards one of them?
