RUMBLE ON THE PITCH, everyone welcome

Angus is taking a victory lap just after the final whistle is blown when he sees, out of the corner of his eye, Marcus Flint (known arse, possible troll) pulling his wand out of his sleeve with a murderous look in his eye. Angus just barely manages to shout out before the bastard sends a bludger smashing into their unsuspecting little Seeker.

And Angus. Sees. Red.

Immediately after that completely unnecessary and unprovoked attack on a defenseless wee lass, before Kenna is even safely to the ground, he hurtles down the pitch to slam full-tilt into Flint and drive him into the muddy dirt below, sending them both rolling off their brooms, tussling and scrambling in the dirt. "Ye radge wee shite!" he bellows, and head-butts Flint right in the nose when he tries to raise his wand again. "Ye treacherous, mingin', arsefaced scrote-- brangle wi' somebody yuir ain size, ye bawless feartie--"

Angus is not the only one who caught Flint's shameful display and Roger is quick to follow his fellow chaser once he saw Kenna had been safely recovered from the pitch. Mather had gone to assist Flint, but before he could lay hands on Angus, Ro launched himself off his broom and clattered into the Seeker.

Flint gets up and stumbles into Gregor, who's trying to keep a human barrier between Kenna and the fight. This earns Flint a gloved fist to the kidney.

"Clear the pitch!", he shouts, hoping someone is listening. He's into the brawl, and he can see the Falcons coming down at them all.

Alex had been down toward the pitch, visiting checking in on Florrie, and was just about to make his way to his attendant press duties when the game is called and Kenna is brought down- with Flint soon behind him with Angus raining justifiable, but all-too public rage down on him. He watches in horror as the two teams collide- even though his hockey-braun is momentarily thrilled- before spurring himself into action.

With his wand out, he races into the fray.

He manages to fire off a couple of impediment jinxes, and a leg-locker spell before being waylaid by someone's fist to his face. That was fucking it. He cast a sonorous charm on his throat. "CLEAR THE GOD DAMN PITCH! WE HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY!"

Lennox, in the team box at the time, sped down to the pitch like there was no tomorrow as soon as he saw Kenna hit Gregor's arms and the chaos began. Arriving not long after Alex, he hears the PR man's voice (who didn't?) and starts quickly casting spells, starting with Protego charms to separate fighting players without injury from spellcasting.

Alasdair is one of the other Montrose-affiliated folks who is quickly down on the pitch, responding to the need to calm people the fuck down.

With quick wand work, he fires off impediment jinxes with speed, and when he gets to Ada - his clear priority all along - he puts an arm around her shoulder and casts a Shield Charm to protect them both as he hustles her towards the Montrose locker room. He reappears later, but only once sure she is safe and that the door is secure from any errant Falcons players with the wrong idea.

Ada had no intention of getting involved in the brawl, giving her previous injury and all, but it makes it difficult to get to the locker room safely without inadvertently getting drawn into it. So she certainly appreciates the timely rescue from Alasdair, and before he heads back out she tells him he better be careful. <3

Alasdair makes sure she sees that his wand is drawn before he makes his exit, giving her a bear hug before leaving through the door (which he hexes to open verrrrry slowly, making it difficult for Falcons to get in without noticing.

After getting the clear from Florrie in the Med Tent, Maddock went back to the Team Box. Where he was pissed off for the rest of the match. Yes they won. Yes Montrose gave him hell but he was still pissed. He was happy that Kenna caught the snitch, but then swore when he saw that bastard Flint slam a bludger at her.

Still having his broom with him, Maddock jumped the box and flew down to the pitch when he saw Angus take Flint down to the ground. By the time Maddock got down there, Roger was laying into Mather, and Maddock tackled Leyland to the ground who was going after Angus.

You bet Lennox gets involved - he fully agrees with Angus' sentiment, and if this had been off the pitch he probably would have left him to it, but he's not letting his brother risk a disciplinary over this.

After the headbutt, Lennox casts a shield charm that separates the two. Fuck what happens to Flint, he's more concerned that nobody on the Falcons gets to his brother. A safe distance being created between the two, he casts an impediment jinx so that Angus can't go and attack someone nearer. Grabbing Angus' arm, he hauls him back and half shoves him back towards the changing rooms. "Get your arse back inside now, before this gets worse," he hisses lowly, turning to check that none of the other Falcons are coming their way.

Even getting tossed off Flint by Lennox's spell, Angus is madder than a hornet, and he shakes off Lennox's restraining hand as best he can while under his jinx. "Get off, Len!" he bellows at his twin, too incensed to hear reason. "Let me at that reekin' bawbag!"

Lennox forces his arm through Angus', perfectly willing to drag him back if he has to. Fortunately, Alasdair hasn't yet had his moment of hexing the door to the changing rooms to open slowly.

"He's not worth the punishment, and taking out two of our four chasers is exactly what they'd want right now" he replies, referring to Roger being somewhere in the brawl too.

He can't believe it's only just occurred to him, but he certainly doesn't put it past Flint to try and make sure they don't have enough Chasers right before playoffs.

Lex can't bring herself to yell at Angus, becaue all she wants to do is pummel Flint to a bloody pulp for what he's done to her team and especially to Kenna. She flies down as soon as she can, seeing red and making sure to get between the Kenna/florrie/gregor circle and the Falcons.

At Alex's words, she's yelling, telling Lennox to get Kal off the pitch and out of they. She takes hit to the face with an accusation of bloodtraitor, splitting her lip and busting her nose. Lex doesn't have time to worry about it though because her priority is to PROTECT THE TEAM. The honey badger is coming out full force and she is throwing herself between magpies and falcons to get the magpies off the pitch and into their locker room.

When she gets herself finally between Flint and Angus, she's pushing Angus back. "Locker room, love. Now!"

Between his and Lex's coercion, Lennox is satisfied enough that Angus is less of a worry, even without magic, given that the shield charm is in place. His eyes glance around, looking for Kal, and when he spots her he dashes off to help her in protecting Kenna and Florrie from the brawl.

Angus pushes back instinctively, almost knocking Lex right over before he realizes who it is helping Lennox restrain him, at which point he backs up so as not to hurt her, though he's still obviously on fire. "That poxy bawfaced bastard needs a thrashin'," he growls, glaring at Flint with murder in his eyes, though he lets Lex hold him back while the referees get in the middle of the brawling players. "Ye saw what he did?"

Lex stumbles slightly from the shove before fixing the end of her beater's bat on Angus' chest.

"I saw full well what he did and believe me, I will make sure he gets what he's due, but what I need more than that is for us to not lose you or Davies for the playoffs or the Neep." She's in full honey badger more, glaring at him because she will do whateer necessary to protect her team from the likes of Flint and stupid refs. It's a bit of an amusing sight, her petite frame challenging him, her hair matted and sweaty, face streaked with blood and standing there trouserless, hot pink knickers contrasting with the black and with quidditch robes.

"I know you're trying to do what's right, but right now, Angus, I need you in the locker room."

"We need you and Roger both available for the next match, too," Lennox interjects, raising his eyebrows quizzically towards Lex. He wonders if Lex has also made the connection, that if they don't get their players out of this, they risk not having a full team for playoffs. Maybe Flint even did it on purpose?

Alasdair is a peaceful man. He just isn't the fighting type. However, as he arrives on the pitch with his wand drawn and a determination to make his way over to Ada, he strides purposefully towards the brawl, casting quick spellwork with almost a casual air. Using his broom is as close to being a wizard as most people see him, but his talent with magic and defensive duelling is apparent as he flicks his wand, sending warring players apart.

What also becomes evident, however, is that he's truly his great-great grandfather's son when Falcons Beater Gubby Allen, incensed that someone not from one of the two teams is getting involved, attempts to attack him. Without missing a beat, Alasdair tosses his wand high into the air, rugby tackles Allen to the floor and pins him with a knee to the back, before catching his wand and casting the restraint spell of his choice.

"Mind your fucking manners," he hisses downward, getting up and carrying on towards Ada as if nothing had happened. Angus Buchanan would have been proud.
