He'll probably be kicked for this, lectured, punched, whatever, but at least he expects it...so maybe it won't be so bad. Hmph. Or so he says. Axel's been standing out here in the cold, staring at Saix's door for god knows how long, until finally with a sigh of resignation he reaches up to knock with his good hand. The other one...is a little more than busted from a certain fight and beneath his cloak he has obvious bruises, but he'll try to keep the injuries underwraps.

Answer the goddamn door now.]

[The goddamn door is answered. Saix has only been home long enough to change his clothes--there's still a bit of grit under his nails and a smudge of dirt he's yet to notice on his cheek. While Mami could never be mistaken for a cruel taskmistress, she is insistent and enthusiastic. He has a feeling his back will be sore in the morning...]

[There's only so many people who come by to visit. Somehow the sight that greets him upon opening the door comes as both expected and a complete surprise.] Axel. [Putting aside (delaying?) everything else, including the last time they'd been face to face....he frowns.] What happened to your hand?
