[The day before, Rose talked the Doctor into sleeping in a nest of blankets on her floor, and when he went to bed last night (or more likely, this morning, seeing as he needs very little sleep), that nest had been a nest for one. Now, it's a nest for two, though the Doctor may be a bit slow to realize that once he wakes. After all, Rose could have relocated from the bed. It's entirely possible the person beside him isn't anyone to worry about.

Yes, the Doctor has been known to make mistakes.]

	[Mistake number one for today: thinking you keep nest-blankets all to yourself. Kanji doesn't really get why his bed is suddenly a stiffer surface than before, or just why his blankets are so hard to pull over. He's just trying to stay asleep. [The Doctor almost, almost snuggles up to the new source of warmth--hey, Time Lords can be groggy in the morning, too--but thankfully for both him and Kanji, he cracks his eyes open and realizes at the last second that he's not sharing the floor with Rose or Jack. He sits up with a start and a loud, squeaky, "What?" A question that's repeated two times for good measure.]

[Rose sort of is. Especially when staying in dimensions where the world is going crazy. Of course when she stayed with UNIT there was no reason to lock up, she had guards and then when staying with him...well no one could get in the TARDIS.

SO, the point of the internal ramble: The doors might not have been locked.]
