The Shelter rooms need better locks. [ He says with a sigh. This morning is about par for the kind of weirdness he expects. At least this time it wasn't a tiny red dragon... ]

Look, is anyone going to be taking over that English class? I keep going on the days it's in session and no one shows or leaves any notes, so something's obviously up.

I figured I might as well brush up while I'm here, in case I ever get caught without my communicator again.

[York wakes up. Only yesterday had he moved out of the Shelter into his new apartment, leaving him with a quiet moment where he tries to decide if he is dreaming or only dreamed about moving. Then he realizes there is a warm, breathing body beside him.]

[York turns his head slowly and stares groggily at the ... teenage boy... and calmly makes a note that he is not dreaming.] That's different.

[Fortunately for everyone involved, York sleeps in his dress shirt and pants, so there is no scramble for decency.]

[ And Touma sleeps in a t-shirt and loose shorts because it's not exactly the warmest in these rooms. Though his bed does feel a little warmer than usual, which is why he's on his side and facing the wall when the voice stirs him.

Even though he can't understand what was said, and nor can the murmuring really be understand in kind, but the word "Index" might stand out. ]

Uh-...huh. [ That narrows a few things down, and at least he didn't accidentally flub and yell at someone whom he should have known. (Though why he would know anyone who doesn't speak decent Japanese is beyond him. Does the 'Touma of the future' have better English skills? It's hard to think of it.)

As I mentioned before, I don't know. [He briefly looks ever-so-slightly annoyed that Touma didn't take his obnoxious answer seriously, but it quickly fades in favor of his usual mellow tone and a calm shrug.] I'm as in the dark about the how and why as you are, unless Acumen displaced me again. If that's the case, our warden is a bit of a prankster.

After all, the last thing I remember was falling asleep in my own bed, in my brand new apartment.

[ After putting on some jeans, at least. ] I've been lost for over a week before, but when I showed up everything was still in its place.

...well, except where I walked into what I thought was my room, but I was on the wrong floor, but the key point is that I remembered doing that.
