The tentacles themselves are of the classic sucker variety! The do look a lot like octopus tentacles with rows of paired suckers. The dome will distort color to some extent but the underside is much lighter than the top side of the tentacles. You won't be able to see much of the rest of the creature however, aside from perhaps a looming shadow of mass. Nothing distinctive, just that it's big!
