Snupin Prophet mirror

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I've created a mirror community for the Snupin Prophet newsletter on Dreamwidth, and I'll cross-post the newsletter there as well as at LJ and IJ.

For those who don't know what Dreamwidth is, you can learn about it here.

ETA: also created Lupin100 and Pervy Werewolf:

Resource poll results

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Thanks to everyone who filled out and/or left a comment on the RL/SS resource poll. It was very helpful in my decision-making process about where to go with some of the resources in question.

The reason I made the poll was because I'd seen some things that had made me wonder why I was bothering to maintain the resources if they weren't useful or being used. Hence, the poll. I wanted to get a better sense of which resources (of the ones I maintain) were being used.

I suspected that the Library and the wiki were the two being used least, which the poll bears out. I originally planned to stop updating those two resources (not delete them, just not update them), but some of the feedback showed that they are being used and are useful.

So here's where we stand:

[info]snupin_prophet - will continue on its weekly schedule.

The Themes List - will continue on its monthly schedule. Although bear in mind that it's my job to post a new theme search at the beginning of the month and to compile the links at the end of the month. It is NOT my job to hunt down links for the search. If I know of any off-hand, I'll certainly add them, but the success of the montly theme searches lies with the community, not with me. If you want the lists to be longer and more comprehensive, then you need to get me the links.

The RL/SS Library - will be updated, but not often. I think every couple of years will suffice, given that there are 186 stories by 75 different authors on the list already and that it's a lesser-used resource.

The RL/SS wiki - will be updated, although I'd like some help in keeping it updated. If you've been looking for a way to contribute to the ship, here's a golden opportunity! I'd like some help in updating certain pages, so if you're interested, drop me a comment. More than one volunteer would be great, so don't feel like you can't volunteer to help if someone has already commented.

Belated Anniversary Fun: Tags!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Quite a few months ago I volunteered to tag the LJ community all the way to the beginning. I promised [info]lore I'd get it done before the anniversary date and I did. =D But I haven't had a chance to make a post about it till now, so sorry about that! Hehe...

Please, please, in both community journals, remember to use the rating and any other relevant tags.

I'm currently in the process of trying to organize the tags in our IJ comm but that's not as a big of priority at the moment for me. It will get done though.

Let's keep partying on this Ship for at least 5 more years! =D

Snape/Lupin discussed on Snapecast

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hi, folks! The latest episode of Snapecast has a fairly long segment on Snape ships, and I got to represent Snape/Lupin. I can't quite bring myself to listen to it yet, so for all I know the Snape/Lupin-y bits might have got edited out, but it's almost forty minutes long, so who knows.

The segment starts at 12:36, and the whole thing can be downloaded from this page, which also has a breakdown of what's in this episode.

Cheers :)

New art archive!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
This is some news for our lovely resident artists:

There's a brand-new HP art archive, Veiled Mysteries. It's got categories for slash, femslash, het, gen, and moresomes, and there's a category for Snape/Lupin art. As I understand it, this is meant to be a home for all HP artists across the fandom, so if you're interested, please consider supporting it by uploading your art.

But that doesn't mean you can't submit your art to the Moonshadow gallery too! All artists are welcome to submit their work at any time. You don't even have to upload them yourself, just email the images via the handy email link on the gallery main page. How easy is that? ;)

Dear RP-players,

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
We're starting a sort of "afterlife" RPG over at IJ and we're looking for players so we could start by November 15. The main premise is that all characters meet in the afterlife (even those alive in canon, as they'll also die by some manner or another eventually) after building their own version of "paradise". As they'll be meeting people from both sides of the war (even, at times, coerced to mingle), the reunion would be very interesting.

The Remus and Severus slots are already filled, but if there are any RP players here interested in taking other characters, we'd absolutely love to have you. We wish to give our Remus and Severus a home; they met over at TDR, discovered they suit, and now they're begging for a definite place to come together. XD

Thank you for your time!

ETA: *facepalm* Of course, I forgot the most important thing. This is the link to the RPG: http://sapientiae_rpg.insanejournal.com
